ASHER KINGSLEY

[Skylah Angel POV]

The latest scandal involving Rosie's scheme had caused a stir within the Angel family and Sky Tech, but I maintained my usual calm demeanor.

No matter what happened, showing any sign of distress was not an option. I needed to remain composed and in control.

I knew exactly who to turn to for help— Asher Kingsley. We met two years ago at a tech conference in Tokyo.

He was the СТО of Orion Systems, a rival tech firm, and his reputation as a prodigy in cybersecurity preceded him.

Over time, our professional rivalry had blossomed into a deep, personal relationship.

I dialed Asher's number, leaning back in my office chair as the phone rang. He answered on the second ring.

"Sky, what's going on?" His voice was calm, but I could hear the underlying concern.

"I need your help. It's about my family. Can you come over?"

"I'll be there in an hour," he replied without hesitation.

True to his word, Asher arrived promptly, his expression a mixture of worry and determination.

He was tall and lean, with piercing blue eyes that seemed to see right through to your soul, and his dark hair was always slightly tousled, giving him an effortlessly handsome look.

His presence was calming, and I felt a surge of relief as he walked into my office.

"Sky, tell me everything," he said, taking a seat across from me.

I recounted the events of the past few weeks, from the Caldwell scandal to Rosie's suspicious behavior and the evidence she had gathered.

Asher listened intently, his brows furrowing as he processed the information.

"This is serious," he said finally.

"We need to dig deeper into these allegations and find out who's behind this. If Rosie's information is accurate, then someone powerful is orchestrating this attack."

"Exactly," I agreed. "But we need to be careful. If they realize we're onto them, they'll escalate their efforts."

Asher nodded. "We'll need to conduct our investigation quietly. First, let's analyze the data Rosie provided and see if we can find any leads."

We spent the next few hours poring over the documents Rosie had collected.

Asher's analytical skills were invaluable; he quickly identified patterns and

inconsistencies that I had overlooked. He pointed to a series of financial transactions that seemed out of place.

"Look at these," he said, highlighting several entries. "These transactions are linked to offshore accounts. Whoever's behind this is laundering money through shell companies."

"Can we trace the accounts?" I asked, leaning over his shoulder.

"It'll be difficult, but not impossible," he replied. "We'll need to dig into the financial records and see if we can uncover the identities of the account holders."

The next few days were a blur of meticulous research. Asher and I worked tirelessly, piecing together the puzzle.

His expertise in cybersecurity allowed us to hack into the offshore accounts and trace the transactions. Slowly but surely, a picture began to emerge.

One evening, as we were going over the latest findings, Asher looked up from his laptop, a triumphant smile on his face. "I think we've got something.

These accounts are linked to a company called Kestral Holdings. It's a front for a criminal organization known as the Black Serpent Syndicate."

"The Black Serpent Syndicate?" I repeated, my heart sinking. "They're notorious for their ruthless tactics and extensive network. This is worse than I thought."

"Yes," Asher agreed. "But at least now we know who we're dealing with. We need to gather more evidence and find a way to expose them without putting ourselves at risk."

As we continued our investigation, it became clear that the Black Serpent Syndicate had been targeting the Angel family for years, using the Caldwell scandal as a smokescreen to distract us from their true intentions.

They had infiltrated our business and personal lives, manipulating events from the shadows.

Weeks turned into a month as Asher and I delved deeper into the Syndicate's operations. Our days were filled with intense research and strategic planning, while our nights often stretched into the early hours as we worked side by side.

Despite the stress and pressure, there was a growing bond between us. We shared not just the burden of the investigation but also moments of quiet companionship that brought us closer.

One night, as we were reviewing our latest findings, Asher paused and looked at me, his expression serious. "Sky, there's something I've been wanting to ask you."

I looked up from my laptop, curious. "What is it?"

He hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I know we've been focused on the investigation, but there's been something else on my mind.

I... I want to be with you, Sky. Not just as a friend or a colleague. I want more."

I maintained my calm exterior, though my heart raced. "What exactly do you want, Asher?"

He looked at me with an intensity that made my breath catch. "I want to fuck you, Sky. Tonight."

I held his gaze, weighing his words. Asher had been a steadfast ally, and our bond had grown stronger over the past month. The idea of being intimate with him felt right, despite the chaos around us.

"Okay," I said finally, my voice steady. "Let's do it."

Asher stood and walked around the desk, pulling me up gently. His touch was warm and sure as he led me to the adjacent room where a small, private suite was set up for late nights at the office.

He closed the door behind us, creating a cocoon of privacy and safety.

We stood facing each other, the tension palpable. Asher reached out and cupped my face in his hands, his thumb brushing my cheek. "You sure about this?"

"Yes," I whispered, my voice unwavering.

His lips met mine in a kiss that started slow but quickly deepened, full of pent-up desire and emotion.

His hands moved to my waist, pulling me closer as our bodies pressed together. I wrapped my arms around his neck, losing myself in the sensation.

Asher's hands roamed over my back, finding the zipper of my dress and slowly pulling it down. The fabric fell away, leaving me in my lingerie.

He stepped back, his eyes darkening with desire as he took in the sight of me.

"You're beautiful," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.

I reached out, tugging at his shirt. He helped me, quickly shedding his clothes until he stood before me, bare and perfect.

We moved to the bed, and he laid me down gently, his body hovering over mine.

Asher kissed me again, his hands exploring every inch of my skin.

I arched into his touch, wanting more. He trailed kisses down my neck, to my collarbone, and lower, leaving a path of fire in his wake.

When he finally entered me, it was slow and deliberate, a perfect joining of our bodies.

We moved together in a rhythm that felt both natural and profound, a dance of intimacy and trust.

The world outside ceased to exist as we lost ourselves in each other.

"Nnngh" Asher please go fa ss ter "Ughhh"

"Fuck" go slower "Ahhhh"

"Sshh" babe you're a walking contradiction just endure my sweet loving, I know you love it.

Afterward, we lay entwined, our breathing slowly returning to normal.

Asher brushed a strand of hair from my face, his eyes soft and full of unspoken emotion.

"We'll get through this, Sky," he said quietly. "Together."

I nodded, feeling a deep sense of contentment. "Yes, we will."

With Asher by my side, I knew we could face any challenge that came our way.

The battle against the Black Serpent Syndicate was far from over, but we were stronger together. And as long as we had each other, we could conquer anything.

[Rosie Angel POV]

In another part of the Angel Mansion, Rosie was growing increasingly frustrated.

Despite her best efforts, the mission progress meter remained stubbornly stuck at zero percent. Every scheme, every attempt to manipulate Skylah had failed spectacularly.

"Why isn't this working?" Rosie muttered to herself, pacing her room. "I've done everything by the book. Skylah should be on her knees by now."

The familiar childlike voice of Kin echoed in her mind, as if sensing her frustration. "What's the status, Rosie?"

"It's still at zero," she snapped. "I can't get through to her. She's too damn composed. Every time I try something, she just brushes it off like it's nothing."

"Calm down," Kin's voice was soothing yet firm. "Remember, you're dealing with someone who's not ordinary. Skylah has the luck of the God of Kindness. This was never going to be easy."

"I know that," Rosie sighed, running a hand through her hair. "But it's been a month, and I've made no progress. If I don't complete this mission, I'll never be free."

"You need a new strategy," Kin advised. "Find her weaknesses. There's always something. Even the strongest have their vulnerabilities."

Rosie clenched her fists, determination hardening her resolve. "I won't give up. I'll find a way to break her. I have to."
