The Inferior spoke in a low voice, "In fact, before you showed up, the elves were deliberately supporting heroes. Almost every high-ranking elf has a corresponding hero... or rather, every hero has an elf Director to endorse their actions. For example, you could be considered a hero supported by Amirus."
In other words, were the elves trying to expand their power?
And...
"Amirus?"
Russell seemed surprised, "But I didn't even know him before that."
"I found out later too. Who would have known that he, as an elf Director, would choose someone he didn't know to be a hero."
The Inferior sighed and sat next to Russell, "That's why at first, I thought you were just another one of the elves' chess pieces too. But after interacting with you, I realized you're not quite like the other heroes."
"...How different exactly?"
