Cui Que quietly followed Radish through the side door's staff passage.
First, she went straight, then turned right, and after reaching the end of the corridor, she descended the stairs. Not far down, a pitch-black narrow door appeared.
Radish pushed open the narrow door without hesitation.
All was dark inside.
Cui Que's night vision wasn't as good as Russell's; it was difficult for her to see clearly in such darkness.
But fortunately, Radish soon lit a candle with a device resembling a lighter...
It was a rather thick white scented candle.
Only then did Cui Que make out two huge incense burners in the room with the help of the dim light.
The burners were completely dull; white ash remained uncleared.
Cui Que could even detect a faint woody scent in the air, different from the citrus scent of the scented candle.
This meant that not much time had passed since the incense burners went out, or the room hadn't been opened since they were extinguished.
