Chapter 29 Another Self

Although Russell had come to have lunch with the Paradise Bird,

it was already 2:30 in the afternoon by the time they left the barbecue restaurant.

The Paradise Bird clutched at Russell's sleeve, her face flushed as she hung her head and followed behind him.

"…Ultramarine, sir, why didn't you wake me up?"

It wasn't until after Russell had paid the bill and they had left through the door that she finally spoke up in a low, embarrassed voice, "Isn't that making Mr. Wuming and the others wait for three or four hours!"

When she woke up, she didn't even know when she had fallen asleep.

Russell, however, didn't feel like he had done anything wrong.

"I feel like I haven't done anything wrong."

He simply turned his head with righteous indignation, saying with a smile, "Because you were sleeping so soundly, I really couldn't bear to wake you."
