Chapter 1113: Frankly Speaking

The chimes of the New Year rang out, and time swiftly arrived at January 1st, 2009.

Many people, however, were not in the mood to celebrate this New Year, especially the three presidential candidates and their campaign office personnel, who were busy with the General Election.

The latest polls showed that the election campaign was still incredibly tense, with all three candidates' support rates hovering around thirty percent, nearly deadlocked.

Currently, no one can know for sure who will win, as according to the General Election rules, one is not considered victorious unless their support rate exceeds 50%.

If this stalemate continues, this year's General Election will be quite an affair, requiring at least three rounds to determine a winner.

The Russian presidential election system is a multi-round system. According to the rules, if a candidate in the first round wins more than 50% of the vote, then they are immediately declared the winner and the election concludes.
