Ganga welcomed Kenta to stay with him because his home made for a comfortable overnight stop, but the village elder was also pleased to have him.

Kenta questioned Old Man Sage about the granddaughter Ganga had told him about, and Old Sage grinned and explained how he had come to adopt a young girl from the lower world.
