Chapter 5

  As I was getting ready to go to bed , someone knocked on the door. I opened only to be faced with Ace. "Hey!".

     "Hey are you okay?.

      "Yeah am fine Ace thanks for asking". We talked for a little bit then he left and I fell into a troubled sleep.

    The next morning I had woken up early because as the usual I had my dreams and the previous ordeal really did a number on me, now my dreams are even worse. In the bathroom as I was washing myself I looked at the mirror.

    Well lets say I wasn't the most prettiest site to see. My hair was messy and I had dark circles in my eyes from the lack of sleep. I just shook my head and got cleaned up and went downstairs to fix the boys some breakfast. I had found out that the nice lady doesn't actually live here but comes and works during the day and leaves.

     As I was cooking she had just arrived."ooh hey!"

"Morning Mia how are you doing"

   "Great !"

  "Well then let me get to cleaning since you're making the breakfast and thank you by the way"

    " no worries I love making breakfast" then she left to get on with the cleaning.

The boys came in the kitchen and were pretty excited over the breakfast I had made since I had made bacon and eggs with some pancakes. Tyler was really loving the pancakes but the mood of the room changed when the guy from yesterday came in the kitchen. he looked at me for a while then ignored me. he took a seat and  started to dig in . this was pretty awkward for me so I stood in the process of escaping I heard "where are you going".

I sighed and turned towards him" am leaving since am not feeling so well".

"ooh well you looked fine when i came here why the sudden rush huh". I looked at Ace pleading for help here since I needed to get away from this situation. Ace thankfully got the message I was sending to him and he said "leave her alone king she said she is not feeling so well so let her be". right that moment I left the kitchen and headed for my room. The whole day I had spent it in my room strictly trying to avoid king if that's his name anyway.

it was in the evening I decided to come out of my room and on the way towards the kitchen I met Ace " hey i was on my way to your room to call you for dinner good thing your already coming". I smiled and said "I was hungry anyway so lets go".

Before going in to kitchen I asked Ace if he was there and he assured me that he was gone for the whole day and hadn't come back yet . I relaxed and we went in the kitchen. just as I sat Tyler laid his hand on my shoulder and as the usual started flirting with me and making more lame jokes and it seriously lightened my sour mood . Bryce was talking to Nate while as usual Ace sat there looking carefully at me. I didn't mind him staring at me but Tyler noticed and decided to taunt him " hey for once if you like someone have the decency of telling her and not keep on staring at her ". But unaffected by the comment Ace just scoffed and finished his dinner and left but not before telling me goodnight.

I too for once was pretty tired so I bade them a goodnight then left to my room and changed to my pajamas slept.

    Octavius' POV  

I spent the whole day taking care of my shipments and when I was done I went straight home. I strode to the kitchen so i could heat something for me to eat and wow! Amy makes the most delicious chicken curry. as I was going to my room I heard screams and they were coming from that girls room. I rushed and opened the door but the I wasn't prepared for the scene before me. she was having a nightmare.    

 I rushed to her side and tried to shake her awake since she was screaming and tears were streaming down her cheeks. The state of her face pulled strings in my heart since she looked almost broken and my instincts were telling me this was no ordinary nightmare something must have happen to her for her to be like this . I tried again to shake her awake and she responded. Her eyes sprang open and went around scanning the room as if trying to convince her self it was just a dream then  they fell on me ,she let go of me and pushed herself to the side.

'' what are you doing in here''. with her current state I tried to answer her calmly "relax it was just a bad dream and i was just going to my room when I heard you scream okay!". she cursed under her breath then said " did I say anything while having the nightmare" . it seemed like she didn't want me to know what was going on.

"Apart from you screaming and calling after your mother to not leave you then no! that is what I heard ". "okay ! then you can leave and thank you for the help ". then she pulled her knees up to hold her head as she tried to hide her faces from me. I was not very good with people's emotions but i felt the urge to comfort her so I sat on the bed and pulled her in for a hug ,her body tensed at first then relaxed. I hugged her for a long time till when i heard soft snores meaning she had fallen asleep. i took her and lay her on bed then pulled a chair near by and sleep but not before making sure she was sound asleep.

In the morning I woke up to a major neck ache must have been because I slept on the chair . first thing I noticed that Mia was still sleeping and she looked so peaceful . I moved closer and pulled her long hair from her face.That caused her to scrunch up her nose and sigh , I smiled because she looked cute no that was an understatement she looked beautiful. I told myself that I should leave before I fall far deep being mesmerized by her beauty.

i left her room and went straight to the kitchen and ordered Amy to take Mia's breakfast to her bed room. I went then straight to my room to take a shower.

Mia's pov

 I woke up and I had to agreed that sleep was refreshing but then the event from yesterday night came flashing in my brain and I gasped. OMG he saw my having one my nightmare episodes. so what was he going to think of me if not some broken doll. but my thoughts were cut short when Amy came in with a tray of food. I smiled even though I was confused why was she bringing me breakfast to my room while i never asked. as if she sensed my confusion she said " don't worry it was king that requested me to bring you breakfast to your room". then I turned to notice the was a chair near my bed and seemed he slept on it for the whole night I cringed since his neck must be aching right now. Amy left after placing the tray on my table but before I had my breakfast I left to go to his room and thank him for yesterday. 

I knocked but no one answered, I opened the door but no one was in the room as I was retreating from the room . the bathroom door opened and he came out , I had to gulp since he was half naked only with a towel around his waist with water dripping on his body . he was all muscle and his abs were so perfect and those packs with the water dripping on them . I know I was staring at them for a long time till when I heard "take a picture it lasts longer". I drifted my eyes to his face and his smirk did not go unnoticed.      

"Am sure you did not just come into my room to look at my naked body right". I cleared my throat then said " yah sorry about that, I came to say thank you for yesterday and I would appreciate if you kept what you saw between us please I don't want people to think am some broken doll'. he looked at me for sometime then nodded. I smiled but I saw he was looking at my body , and in his eyes I saw lust then it clicked I was still wearing my night wear which was a lacy night dress. Embarrassed I turned and rushed out of his room but not before hearing him laughing. 

I spent the day helping Amy to clean up the house . when we were done I was so bored and decided to go ask Ace for a book. I knocked on his room door and after waiting he finally opened the door. He had an annoying look in his face but after noticing it was me he smiled. He was no wearing anything on top so his chest was on full display and I said to myself what was with me and men's chests today. I politely asked for a book but he shrugged and said he wasn't the reading type and the only place and person with books was king. He told me I should try to ask him for a book then smiled at me and closed the door.

I gathered up my courage and went up to his office and knocked . He answered then I went in ,he looked up and saw me stopped whatever he was doing and relaxed in his office chair to look at me. I asked if I could borrow a book and to my surprise he agreed. As I was looking through the book I didn't  notice his presence behind me not before he came close behind me and whispered in my ear " why did you run from me today morning". shocked i turned and I was surprised at how close he was, I looked at his eyes and they were void of emotions no giving away anything.Then his eyes locked at my lips and suddenly he descended and captured my lips with his .At  first I was shocked so did not respond but then he bit my lower lip and I responded to his kiss. it was slow at first as if he was trying to let me get a grip of it then it turned in a heated passionate kiss. then his hand moved to my ass and gripped it, this caused my to gasp giving him an opportunity for him slip his tongue . we both fought for dominance.

His hands moved to my hips and he hoisted me up so I could place my legs around his waist. he moved to the office table and placed me there without breaking our kiss. I pulled away so I could catch my breath. He looked at while he placed his hands on my neck and waist and pulled me in for another kiss but it was short lived since his phone rang. He firmly held me down by the waist as he was talking on the phone. But his facial expression changed to that of anger as he started barking orders and telling them he was on his way and broke off the all.

He sighed then looked at me." listen there has been a problem at work and I have to go okay! and I don't want you to think that after this things will be normal between us okay since am really attracted to you and I can see that you are too" he held my cheeks then tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. He kissed me a long and deep kiss then said "lets try to see were this goes okay!". he helped me down the table but not before kissing me and telling me to wait for me so we could talk. I nodded and left  his office with the book inwardly smiling to myself because I was really attracted to him and hearing him say he wanted to try to make them work was kinda nice ,she now wasn't that scared of him.
