The hunter become the hunted

"What did you say!?" Frank was not the only one who was shocked. Alicia, Jayer, and Miriam were among them as well.

"He turned into this big black wolf, and he fought something. A-a shadow, I suppose. Then he killed my mom in the process." Max was confused. He didn't know what was happening to him.

"Did you say he turned into a big black wolf?" Asked Frank

"I d-don't know," Max stuttered before passing out. Frank turned to Miriam and Jayer

"Care to explain what this is all about?" he was cold. Jayer and Miriam were experiencing what they feared the most. They didn't expect Jason's friend to sell him out.

"I am also hearing this for the first time. I am confused. I don't think that is possible. Jason is showing signs of using his magical power. How could he be a wolf? I am not one neither is She. How can he be one? There must be a mistake here." Jayer tried to explain. He was also nervous, angry, and fearful for his son and their lives. The hunters were terrible people.

'Hope you are not covering for your son?" Patrick, who was among the group, said. He had been watching from the sidelines. He could see the guy was nervous, but he also seemed confused. It's like he didn't know, but does he believe him? No. He knew Jayer to be very calculative and smart and would not let anything get to him and his family, including Frank.

"We have a doctor there as well. Let's take them to the hospital first. He could be hallucinating." Miriam suggested after looking at Max from a distance. Frank was skeptical at first, but also that was a possibility. The doctor groaned on the ground holding his body.

"What happened here?" he asked as he came back. He looked around. It was dark, but the lights around them were enough to make him see clearly.

"Dr. Maxwell? Can you hear me? How many fingers can you see?" Alicia stepped forward and asked him

"Two"

"Great. How did you get here?' she asked again, observing him keenly.

"I was in the garage when this thing that looked like a shadow attacked me. From there, I didn't know anything. It's like I have been asleep all this while." Dr. Maxwell narrated, "but I seem to remember another person fighting that thing in me. He produced flames and burned it, then the shadow died"

"What did he look like?" Frank asked him

"I didn't get to see him clearly, but he had green and golden yellow eyes. His ear was big and pointed like a dog's. He had sharp fangs, and also, he had claws on his hands. He fought and tried to take us out of here before you came," he explained as he remembered, "ooh, And then there was this big black wolf that came out of nowhere and took another person from here," he continued as he remembered something else. The hunters looked at each other.

"Arrest the Mackenzie's until we get to the room of everything," Frank ordered his men. He didn't want to take chances. For the past months, he had been suspecting something about the boy. There was something that was making him feel fearful.

"Frank, you can't do this now. Our son is missing, and he could've been taken away. Please let's find him first," Miriam cried to the old man.

"Take the kid and the doctor to the hospital. Patrick, Alicia, take the Mackenzie's to the cell." Frank ordered, running into the forest with the rest of his men

"Get them alive or dead. No exception," he ordered as they went after them. It would be a matter of time before they find out the kind of person Jason was. He was in the run for his life. His friend had betrayed him. He knew it was out of anger, but still, it hurt.

"You better hurry. Those damn hunters are not going to sit around for long. You heard your friend. He sold you out. No hesitation whatsoever." Damian said, running with Mrs. Mapendo on his back

"I didn't know he would do that," Jason said, lost. He thought he was only angry at that moment, and he will not rat him no matter. He thought they would iron out their issues later.

"You were wrong. It would've been better if you had wiped his memory," Damien said, running.

"Yeah. Great. Did I even have the time to do it?" he answered sarcastically to him. He was frustrated. There was anger in his voice. He was angry and was losing it. His body was changing. He changed into a full wolf and charged forward.

Damian and his friends saw this and smiled. He was a leader naturally. With them facing battles from other packs, having him in theirs was the best.

Frank was behind close by. He was on a mission to kill and destroy them. He was old, but he knew how dangerous they could be in society. He saw many of his family members die at the hands of the werewolves. He swore to kill them as long as he lived.

"We lost them." One of the hunters in charge of tracking answered

"It's okay. We will get them soon. We have his parents. He will come for them."

"Let's go."

The hunters went back. But what they didn't know, the werewolves were not their only enemies. More and more weird creatures and monsters were coming into town. They were facing more than they could chew. Being narrow-minded will take Frank nowhere. He was letting his grudge and interest get the better of him. He was splitting the group without even knowing.

Max's betrayal was even worse for Jason. He had known Max since they were young. This was the first time he saw him unreasonable. If he had not killed the host, who so happened to be his mother, they would all have died. Not just them, but the whole town was in danger.

Evil was coming but were they prepared?
