After I showed Chiyoko the base and made sure of her future intentions, we headed back.
It took us +/- 30 minutes to get back to the boat and during the walk, the princess was abnormally quiet.
When we were on the way to the demon base, she tried to break the ice with jokes or clumsy observations.
But there, she looks at the ground with a blank stare.
She must surely be thinking about everything I had to say to her and that's normal.
Despite the fact that she said that she will stop this useless war once she gets back on the throne and that she seemed to accept what I told her, a part of her doubts my revelations very much.
And that's normal. All her life, she's been stuffed with lies. So when she learns the truth and has proof in front of her, she doesn't believe it. She thinks she is being manipulated. And I'm surprised she even believed me.
So, for the fact that she believed me, I will try to change these ideas or, at least, help her.
« What are you thinking » I asked
« What ? » she answered confused
« What do you think ? »
« Ah uh….I….I have a hard time accepting the fact that my ancestors started a war that has been going on for thousands of years. I find it hard to believe that the demon you killed is a demon. And even if it really is a demon, I don't understand why my ancestors declared war? And how can you be sure it was my ancestors who declared war? And why not demons? »
« It will be hard for you to accept this fact but the thing I killed was indeed a demon. Their leader clearly said "let's show them what the demons have in their stomachs". And why I think your ancestors started the war is that they lie about demons. If the demons attacked them, then why lie about the demons ? » I explained

And with this last sentence, we accelerated our walking pace in order to get to the boat before the sun went down.

After getting on the boat, I went straight to wash up.
Once done, it was Chiyoko's turn to wash up and while she was washing up, I went to the kitchen to prepare the meal. I prepared two military rations.
Since she hadn't finished yet, I started eating without her. And after 10 minutes, she finally arrived.
This is the first time I've seen her full face. She has red hair that reaches her shoulders with blue eyes. Her face is triangular with a small nose.
« Is there something on my face? » Chiyoko asked in confusion
« No, no… » I replied, looking away and feeling my cheeks blush.
« The meal is for me? » she asked
« Y…yes »
After my sentence, she came to sit right in front of me and took her meal.
At first, we ate in an awkward silence with me constantly thinking about the scene I did while blushing. But after a while, Chiyoko spoke up.
« You are feeling good ? » she asked with a worried tone.
« I…I feel good. It's just that the meal is hot » I replied with a more than wobbly excuse
« If you say so…. » she said, not at all convinced of my excuse.
And the awkward silence return. After 5 long minutes, she spoke.
« Can I ask you about your system? »she asked
« Yes, of course » I replied.
« How does your system interact with the environment? »
« When I buy a vehicle, it arrives without anyone driving it. When I buy deliveries, cargo planes drop the delivery. And as far as construction is concerned, it is by levitation. »
« I see. I remember you said you needed money for that. How did you get the money? »
« By killing «
« And you still have a lot of money? »
« No. I'm going to have to go hunting if I want to continue to develop this base and take our revenge. »
« Is that why you attacked the bandits? »
« Yes, they give a lot of money and I can resell their stuff »
« Can your system improve your stats?»

And with my answer, silence settles.

« So after your father tried to kill me, I woke up on a small island. Shortly after waking up, I saw the system. I explored it and after understanding what was going on, I left to discover the island. I discovered creatures that I killed » I said before she interrupted me.
« What kinds of creatures? » she asked me
« Turtles, fish and many more »
I saw in her body language that she didn't appreciate the fact that I didn't say all the creatures I killed but she didn't say anything. So , i continue.
« After a while, I said to myself that I must leave this island if I want to survive and become stronger. So I built a boat and left. That's when I started killing bandits. I did this until I could buy my plane. After buying it, I explored and found a city. I watched it but they didn't like it. They tried to intercept me with a griffin and a drake but I was way too fast for them. But they didn't say their last word and they attacked me with a spell. I managed to avoid it and I was determined to take my revenge. But their dome did its job well. Disgusted, I went back to sea. I found Bandit Island and completely destroyed it. Afterwards, I went in search of an island to make my base. After finding it, I started building and I bought my boat. The rest of the story, you know it »
« You have quite a story…animated » she said.
« You can tell that I kill everything I see »
« That's another correct turn of phrase. But now that I'm here, you're not going to kill everything that moves » she said, pointing at herself.
« What, are you going to leash me like a pet? »
« Yes ! I mean no. You undestodd me, right ? »
« Yeah, I'm just saying that to annoy you. Finally, it's late. I am going to bed »
« I am agree with you. It's time to go to sleep »
With that, we both left for the dormitory and this time, I'm not scared to get killed while I sleep .
