"W-What?!" I practically yelled
She covered her ears, before moving her head upwards and repeating.
"Can I have your seed?"
I stared at her in shock.
'Is she a pervert?!'
"Why would you need it?" I asked, feigning calmness
"I don't think I've done anything that would make you want to start a relationship of this sort" I reasoned
"No, I need it. Your seed may save my life." She shook her head and explained.
I stared at her.
'My seed can save her life?'
"How can my seed save your life?!" I yelled in confusion
Keeping her ears covered, she explained
"My body needs to be transmitted large amounts of internal energy daily or my body will collapse."
"But if I use your seed, I may not need to anymore."
"Hagh...ok but why my seed."
"....If I use your blood you'll most likely faint before I can gather enough." She explained
"I don't know..." I sighed
She stared at me intently waiting for my decision.
"..." Looking at her face, I can't help but think that I'll essentially be cheating on Jasmine, despite not even having a real relationship with her.
'Whatever! It's not like I'm having sex with her!' I convinced myself.
"Alright, just tell me when you want it." I gave her my ok.
"Thank you." She said, her face brightening slightly.
*Thud*
"Ah sorry, my bad." I apologized to the guy I bumped into.
The hooded guy didn't stop, he kept on walking.
I ignored him but Maria stared at him a little while longer.
"Maria, c'mon we'll get in trouble if we're not there for roll call." I urged her
We quickly got to our tents. Our day went on as usual. Train, Eat, Clean, and Charge.
*BOOM!!*
While we were charging the machine, we heard an explosion coming from the base.
The Colonel quickly had us rush back. And what we saw was the base's structure ignited with impaled and burned soldiers spread all over the ground.
We quickly ran into the base. And tried to see if there were anyone alive. But no, no one was alive.
*Patter*
I heard a very familiar patter sound. The hair on my body stood up. Thinking of a possibility, I quickly turned my head
Luckily, it wasn't an Alien Spider. Unluckily, there was an army of bullet and lightning ants coming our way.
The lightning ants reached us first, it took out our armored soldiers first. And then went for the ones with heavy machine guns.
These things had enough intelligence to know what could threaten them.
The Colonel and Captains separated our squads and ordered us to retreat. We had no choice as the attack was too sudden and overwhelming.
I subconsciously searched for Maria, and I found her relatively quickly. She was giving quick and patent instructions.
I sighed without knowing why. I turned to my superior and listened to his orders.
Jake ordered us to take cover within the city. And to look for a way back to the pier.
He said that he had a feeling that these ants were only a distraction.

At the pier
The soldiers left on the pier were too focused on charging the machine and the guards were too focused to the west to notice the 180 cm or 5'11 tall beetles climb onto the pier platform. They were cyan colored with splotches of black. These beetles seemed to have been fused with a multitude of sea creatures as they looked unlike any animal on the planet.
"AGGHH"
"GAHH"
The beetles started their attack on the meditating soldiers as well as the soldiers guarding them.
The beetles used their shells to defend themselves from the bullets fired at them.
The soldiers were quickly killed from overwhelming advantage of the beetles as well as their terrifying numbers.
From afar you'd be able to see an ocean of black quickly charging into the city.
