Davel was surprised when he heard Lycia's question. He was sure that he was capable of hiding his true identity from the humans in this world, but the female doctor suddenly asked an unexpected question.
And maybe he wasn't the only one who was surprised because the girl looked surprised too.
Now, Davel was at a loss as to how to explain the situation to the girl. It was only his second day in this new world, but his cover had already been blown.
After this, people would know that he wasn't Davel Clayton, and they would probably punish him for lying. If he was to be put to death, then he could not continue to search for the Moon Goddess in this world, and he wouldn't be able to save his people in his world as well.
'I failed my mission just like that? But, what will happen to my people and the humans who await me in my world?' He wailed as despair suddenly hit his heart.
Davel continued to be silent, and he didn't even notice that Lycia's eyes fell on his blue eyes once again.
"You look pale, Mr. Clayton. Are you hurt somewhere?" The girl broke the silence. "And wait! Your heart rate is abnormal too! Do you feel hurt in your chest, Mr. Clayton?"
Lycia glanced at the monitor next to the bed, and she could see the number of the heart rate on the monitor exceeded 100 at the same time that the man's face also looked pale.
Davel blinked his blue eyes, and he took a deep breath before asking the female doctor, "How did you know that I'm a wolf?"
Lycia panicked because the patient's heart suddenly beating became so fast, but the patient suddenly asked an unexpected question.
"Huh?" She responded to the question in confusion. "I was only joking when I said that you were a wolf. I only saw a wolf tattoo under your belly button, so I randomly said that you were a wolf, Mr. Clayton."
An innocent explanation from the young doctor entered his ears, and Davel frowned upon hearing the strangeness in Lycia's words. Bringing his eyes to look at his navel, he even unbuttoned his jeans and also lifted the rim of his briefs a little to get a better look at the thing below his navel, he did find a wolf tattoo underneath.
'Since when did I have a tattoo like this?' He wondered.
He was indeed a werewolf from the Full Moon Land, but he had never had a tattoo before.
It was a tattoo of a wolf sitting while howling with its head looking up at the full moon. It was a quite big tattoo because the wolf's mouth was just below his belly button, and the lowest part of the tattoo was right above his... genital.
It was a very embarrassing tattoo, and he immediately let go of the rim of his briefs so that the fabrics once again covered his private area.
'Who would make such a tattoo in that area?' Davel wondered once more as his face warmed for an obvious reason.
The white-haired man didn't realize that he wasn't the only one blushing in the room. Standing right in front of him who was still sitting on the edge of the bed, Lycia's face was as red as an azalea.
The female doctor was standing right in front of Davel, and she could see how the man was 'revealing' what was hidden under his jeans and underwear.
"You... you saw it, right? You have a wolf tattoo, so I just randomly said that you were a wolf," Lycia stuttered while avoiding the man's gaze.
Hearing the stutter, Davel looked at the girl again, only to find the girl's cheeks full of redness. He just realized that the girl had seen everything she shouldn't have seen.
Trying so hard not to groan in front of the innocent doctor, Davel tried to explain, "It was just a random tattoo. I don't even remember that I had it."
It wasn't that Davel couldn't remember the tattoo, but he clearly remembered that he didn't have any tattoos on his body before he transmigrated into this new world.
'Does this tattoo belong to the real Davel of this world?' He suddenly had an idea in his mind, but of course, he didn't let the doctor know what he was thinking.
He had looked at his face in the mirror after transmigrating into this world, and he could see that his face was the same as his when he was still in his world. But the people of this world immediately recognized him as Davel Clayton, so he assumed that he and Davel Clayton had the same appearance, and their bodies might also look the same.
So, he assumed that the wolf tattoo belonged to the real Davel of this world. 'Maybe it's just a coincidence,' he thought.
"Having tattoos is cool, and I think wolf tattoos are cool too," Lycia spoke again, and this time, she ventured to look at the white-haired man.
"Is that so?" Davel asked the girl. "Do you think wolves are cool?"
Davel didn't even know why he ended up asking such an important question, but his heart tingled when he heard how the girl said that wolf tattoos were cool.
He knew that he was currently living in a world without werewolves, but he still wanted to know how the humans in this world saw wolves.
"I've never met a real wolf, but I think they're really cool," Lycia replied, and her clear eyes remained fixed on the blue ones. "I'm afraid of the dark, but wolves dare to run through the darkness and challenge the darkness with their howls. I think they're amazing."
The monitor next to the bed showed normal numbers again after Davel could be sure that his cover was safe, but as Lycia's soft voice entered his ears when she cheerfully voiced her opinion about wolves, the monitor showed big numbers again.
