"That's not a good idea!"
Lycia jolted in place when she suddenly heard her mother yelling at her. She had just told her mother that she was working for Davel Clayton now, and her mother's face suddenly darkened before she screamed right in her face.
"You're saying you're working for Davel Clayton now? You should hear me out that's not a good idea, Lycia!" As if she was dissatisfied with how she suddenly raised her voice when she was talking to her daughter, the older woman continued to suppress her seemingly clueless daughter even after she explained what she meant.
Now Lycia could see that her mother was against the idea of her working for Davel Clayton, but she still seemed surprised when her mother didn't even try to hide her disapproval when she voiced her opinion.
