The Werewolf King, Davel, promised the Moon Goddess that he would protect his people and mankind from the ferocity of the vampires. Unfortunately, the promise only remained a promise that couldn't be realized when the vile vampires evolved so that they became much stronger.

For a moment, Breyno looked dumbfounded, but then he smiled sweetly at the younger girl while saying, "You finally call me by my name, Lycia. It feels so much better when you let go of the formality between us."

At first, she thought that it would be difficult for her to get used to their current relationship which had crossed professional boundaries or perhaps friendship.
