Breyno was silent for a few seconds, and Lycia couldn't even hear the man's breathing from the other end of the phone, but she finally got a reply from the older man.
That was not truly an answer, but Lycia now knew that the man was still listening to her.
By now, Lycia was used to hearing how her senior used the word "mother" to address the caretaker in the orphanage. The man didn't talk about his birth mother, and he didn't talk about his adoptive mother either.
She knew that Breyno used that word to address the person who had cared for him in the past before he was finally adopted by his current family.
