By the time the second snowfall fluttered down, it was mid-December.
In the hotel's meeting room, Director Tan looked at the shooting schedule and, with a mix of excitement and worry, said, "If we're quick, we might be able to wrap up early and all head home to spend the New Year with our families. What are your thoughts about the release date? Let's hear them."
In addition to Director Tan, Su Jingqiu, and Ye Wan, there were several key members of the crew in the meeting room.
The first to speak was Su Jingqiu, "On the safe side, let's assume we wrap up at the beginning of January. Adding in post-production, marketing, and the like, conservatively, we're looking at April. How about we aim for a May Day release? It's a long weekend, so there should be a spike in cinema attendance."
"That's roughly the time frame."
"I think so too."
Director Tan turned to the silent Ye Wan, "Xiao Ye, what do you think?"
"I have a bold idea."
