Chris POV:
Chris broke through the treeline, finally locating where Len hid.
Of course the coward hid behind his people.
He used them like cannon fodder, letting them die in his place.
Chris wouldn’t let him get off so easily.
Asa stood by his side, reaching a bloody hand over to take Chris’. Asa finally shifted back to his human side, his bow and arrow centered on his back. He didn’t want Asa to get hurt, but he knew that with Asa by his side, he would fight better.
“Go, get set up,” Chris whispered and Asa nodded, pressing his nose into Chris’ scent gland once more before heading toward the tree line.
Asa would take down any of the shifters who interfered with Len and Chris’ fight.
This remained strictly between the two of them.
“Len! Come out coward, don’t you want to see how the soil runs red with the blood of my pack,” Chris called out.
He knew that a cocky alpha like Len would not resist such a call.
He would want to fight Chris.
His pride demanded it.
