“Mom, we’ll see you tomorrow night,” I said, pulling her in for a hug at the end of the night. “But if you need me for anything at all, just let me know.” Then I glanced over at Ari. “You, too.”
Mom laughed, releasing me. “Just you being there will be the best gift of all.”
“Ari, don’t you do too much either.” I pulled her in for a hug, too. “You need to take it easy.”
A smile spread across her face. “Don’t worry. Grayson’s not letting me do too much.”
“And neither am I.” Mom gave her a stern look as Ari laughed.
After saying our last goodbyes, Declan and I headed out, and Jackson was standing by the limo, holding the door open for us. “Good evening, Your Grace.” Jackson smiled at us both. “Did you have a good evening?”
“The best,” Declan replied as I slid into the car. Then he climbed in behind me. He extended his arm to me, and I leaned against him, feeling the effects of the day.
“So, where to?” Jackson asked, meeting Declan’s gaze in the rearview mirror.
