Assar spent the next several hours conducting a more thorough search of the scene. He had taken the time to look for any clues that could give him an exact number of people who had been in this room on the night of the attack. He had found a number of footprints outlined in blood and had been gathering some more information on the beast that had been used in the attack. 


He had also investigated the secret entrance he had found in the room. It had turned into a long winding staircase that took him all the way down to the ground floor. He had come to the exit of the passage, and after a bit of searching found the latch that opened the door.
