Chapter 39: The Angel You Can't Move

It's been a month since I first met Willem. Somehow by the stroke of luck, I got the bank loan I was angling for. Having that win planted a new seed of hope in me that everything would work out well.

And it did.

The bakery is blossoming. I've hired two more locals with baking experience, Ello and Malcolm, so we were able to resume making daily specials. The work load is now evenly spread out, and I've been able to set up a social media account with the help of Simone.

This means people from neighboring towns find me, and that I sometimes have to bake full-scale for events. In the space of just one month, my bakery pretty much runs itself without any input from me.
