Chapter 47: The Angel You Give In To

Life has a rather sick sense of humor. Because of course, the afternoon after I railed Jason, the first customer at the bakery would be Willem.

He's comes cautiously to the counter where I am, a bouquet of wild roses in his hands. He hands them to me, and I'm happy we're the only two in the dining area.

"Hi. It's been a while," I say.

He shakes his head at my weak attempt at pleasantries. "Joe told me your man is back."

My man. That's who he is, isn't he? I remember his hands all over my body. His face in my hair as he pumped into me slowly. Only my man would know how to call out my release the way he did.
