Chapter 26: Boundaries

Felicity had let the first kiss go, the drunken one she was still marinating in, and then there was the motel room close call. It wasn’t that he wouldn’t have sex with her that was the problem, it was the damn back and forth.

“We shouldn’t be using each other, Felicity.” Levi sighed.

“Be more specific Levi, because as I recall it, you’re the one using me.”

“But am I really using you?”

“Are you?”

Levi went silent and for the next few hours, they drove in silence with the exception of ordering through a drive thru and stopping to pee until they reached LA. “I’d like you to stay at the penthouse.” He said as he pulled into the city.

Felicity had been dosing on and off the last leg of the trip and yawned when he spoke. “I figured you would.”

Levi rubbed a hand over his face, as though an agonizing thought had been gnawing at him. “I want to apologize.”
