Chapter 394

Drio headed into the kitchen and rummaged around in a cupboard. He turned on the tap, letting the water run.

"First, we build a timeline of events. Walk me through everything you can remember." I pulled out my phone and opened the recording app. "Drio, you need to be part of this."

"Aspetta." He carried out a basin of water, steam rising off of it. Under one arm was a small First Aid kit. Setting the basin on the table, he pulled out a dripping washcloth and wrung it out. He handed it to Isabella, who dabbed at the dried blood on her head.

"Who did that?" Antonia demanded.

"I don't remember. It happened during the compulsion." Props for the steely glint in Isabella's eyes that matched the steel in her spine.

Antonia let it go.

Drio handed me a pair of tweezers. "Get the glass out of your foot while we do this."

I hit play on the recorder. "Thursday, October 10. Interview with Antonia D'Amico, Isabella De Luca, and Drio Rossi."
