"Arghmhg." I kicked the villain trying to get me out of the nice warm bed.
Drio swore. "You're the one who booked the first flight out. Get up."
I snarled at him, wrestling him for the covers.
"Put the teeth away, my little goblin."
That earned him a pillow flung at his face. "That better not be your new pet name for me."
"How about goblinissima? No? Then move it."
"Threats don't work on me," I said.
"Yeah, I figured that out when you kept ignoring me and doing what you wanted whenever I said I was going to kill you. That's why I bought bribes. Three cornetti and a latte. All yours if you're in the kitchen in five."
I was there in four. I didn't know what cornetti were but I wasn't about to miss out on some new Italian delicacy. "Happy?"
Drio ran his hands over my long-sleeved blue velvet mini dress that I wore with black velvet leggings and gave a satisfied nod. "Missing the jewelry, but much more you. How much stuff did you cram into that bag of yours?"
