I won't call this a dream or a nightmare. No, I can't. This is more like seeing a live version of my scenario planning, but more in an exaggerated way. I'm tired of all these threats. I want to know why Oliver is playing this game with me.
People whom I love are in danger because of me. Grecia, Scarlet, now next who?
I checked the time on my bedside clock which showed 6:30 am. I try going back to sleep but every time I close my eyes, I see something bad happening to Logan, Grecia,or Scarlet. After an hour of attempting to sleep, I finally decide to get up and get ready for college.
It's been a week now since I started going to college. I had a lot to catch up when I got back and my college mates were kind enough to lend me their notes. It's the end of my first year in business studies and my final exams are soon approaching. With all the things happening around, I'm finding it difficult to concentrate but I know I have to get past through this. College is secondary when your life is at stake.
It's also been nine days since Grecia's accident. Even though there is slight progress, she is still kept in the Intensive Care Unit as her heart rate is going up and down at times. The doctors say that their part is over and it was up to Grecia whether she decides to wake up or not.
I witnessed the vulnerable and scared little boy in Logan who just badly wants his mom to wake up in those nine long days. He refused to sleep at the mansion in the first two days. It was only after long persuasion from me and Patrick that he finally agreed to spend the nights at his house and the majority of the time, he wanted me with him.
It was also during one of those days that I sneaked up into Logan's phone to get a contact number that I never thought I would need. The 10 digit number of a person who is the only one that can give me answers for all the chaos that had happened. I had everything planned in my head but I just need to gain the courage to meet face to face with the person. Every time I'm close to pressing the call button, there is this feeling of apprehension that stops me. Moreover, I will have to hide it from Logan if I ever plan to do what I want to or more precisely that I have to do to keep my loved ones safe.
As soon as my first two classes got over, I received a phone call from Patrick informing me that Grecia had finally woken up from her deep slumber. I immediately decide on skipping the rest of my class and hurriedly catch a cab to the hospital.
I reach the hospital in 15 minutes and dash through the hallway that has become familiar to me now. Taking a deep breath, I opened the door slowly and stepped in. First thing I see is Logan hugging his mother's stomach as Grecia pets his head with a warm and tired smile on her face. My eyes watered at the scene and tried my hardest to not let the tears spill down. Patrick was leaning against a wall, his arms crossed against his chest. He was silent like he was giving both the mother and son to let out their emotions. As soon as our gaze met, Patrick smiled at me and I returned the gesture.
"Karolia." my eyes snap to Grecia whose face brightens upon seeing me. Logan was also staring at me with an untold emotion, his eyes red. Grecia weakly gestures for me to come forward and the tears that I was holding escape through the corner of my eyes as I take in the bandages and needles attached to her arms.
I walk to her bed before carefully hugging her as tears of happiness and relief flow freely through my eyes.
"I missed you," I say as I pull my head back to look at her slightly twinkling eyes.
"I missed you too sweetheart" She smiles weakly, caressing my cheeks. "You look tired and weak." she frowns as she takes in my appearance.
"Look who's talking." Logan muttered with his groggy voice and I chuckle sadly. Even though she looks more tired with pale skin and bags under her eyes, she is concerned about our health. Oh Grecia!
I shake my head and quickly dismisses her saying I'm doing alright, but I noticed the scowl on Logan's lip as he studied me. I quickly avert my eyes from him, knowing he will understand I haven't taken proper food in these past days. Logan has been so distracted nowadays that he sometimes forgets to check upon me which I prefer that way, or else he will immediately catch what is going on in my life and will prevent me from my plans. I know we promised to never keep a secret from each other, but sometimes promises can be broken if it means to ensure the safety of others.
Thankfully, Grecia asked Logan something that effectively distracted him from scrutinizing me.
As I watch the woman who nearly lost her life because of me and the man I love laughing and being happy like they used to be, I decided that I never want their smile to disappear ever again. Especially not because of me. I promised myself to not let anything bad happen to them ever again. And that was the moment I got the courage to do it. To make the phone call that I wanted to make for days now.
I say my goodbyes to Grecia and Patrick promising to meet them the next day and leave the room with Logan behind me. We walk out of the hospital building hand in hand, no words exchanged between us. Logan spoke up when we reached the parking lot, William following behind us at a distance. By now I got used to William following me everywhere.
"Mum is right. You indeed look tired" he says, caressing my cheeks with the back of his knuckles.
"But not as tired as you." I replied back but he didn't bother to acknowledge my statement about his health.
"Is something else bothering you?" I gulped silently when I realised he's slightly catching up. I shake my head at him, smoothly lying to him.
"Nothing, Log. I just worried about my university exams." He nodded his head, believing my excuse
"Call me when you reach home, alright?" He says and places a lingering kiss on my lips.
"Sure," I smile sadly. Getting on my toes I kiss his forehead silently apologizing in mind for doing what I'm about to do behind his back. I leave the hospital building with William, planning to dial a number once I reach home.

Oliver's POV:
I wait impatiently in my car for the arrival of a person. I watch the crowd near the Radio City Music hall and wonder about the meeting that is about to happen. I never expected a call from her and I was surprised to say the least. I don't have any idea on why she wanted to meet me, hell I don't even know how she got my number. I chuckle darkly at how stupid I thought of her move and her braveness to meet me. I thought the moth was finally coming to the flame, but damn, I was impressed when I realized why she chose a place like this for the meeting. The place is packed. One wrong move and everyone will notice.
Clever
I underestimated her mind but little does she know that her time was nearing and there is nothing that could stop it. She should have been dead long ago. She escaped from her fate and now she is just a missing soul that shouldn't be in this world. And I am definitely her Grim reaper.
I catch a small hooded figure from afar and confirm the person before stepping out of my Toyota Camry. I can say that she hasn't noticed me yet from her tensed shoulders placed at a sideways position.
As I watch her face turning to me I expect to see a scared face but instead I'm met with a determined one.
"How nice to see you again, Karolia," I smirk evilly.
