(Two days later)
I look out at the busy morning of New York City and watch the people rushing to reach their destination. It looked like it snowed heavily in the streets as the road looked glazed. Good thing now it's not snowing too much because I didn't take my woolen scarf nor my umbrella. I just had my sweater on and a beanie that covered my plaited hair. I glance at my wristwatch and realize that I have ten minutes left for my work hours to start. I suddenly craved for some hot caramel macchiato in this chilly weather as we neared the Watson Enterprise building.
I asked William to stop the car at Starbucks, a bit away from the office building, and got down with him following me closely behind. I entered the warm coffee house and ordered what I craved for. My phone rang while I was waiting for the drink and a smile formed on my lips immediately as I saw the caller ID.
"Hey, Log." I greeted him cheerily as soon as I picked the call.
"Hey, love. Why are you not here yet?" He asked me. Even though he sounded casual, I was able to sense some resistance there. I frowned but didn't ask him about it.
"I'm on the way. I just stopped by Starbucks to get a drink" I said. Logan hummed in response.
"Alright, come fast then," Logan said and I bit my lip.
"You sound a bit weird. Is everything alright at the office?" I asked as I tapped my feet on the floor. There was a moment of silence before I heard him chuckle from the other side which put me at ease right away.
"It's nothing. Just come straight to my room once you reach the office, yeah?" He said and now he sounded more casual which made me smile.
"Sure. I'll be there in ten." I said and cut the call. He sounded a bit hurried. Maybe he has some important paperwork to be done real quick and that's why he wants me there immediately. I quickly ordered an americano for Logan as I realized that he is definitely in need of some caffeine. Logan doesn't like highly flavored or thick-milked coffee so I decided it would be best to get something light and refreshing.
As soon as I got my orders, I paid the cashier and hurried towards the car. Now it's just a five-minute drive from here to the office. I thanked William as soon as I reached the office and headed straight to the elevator with the two cups of drinks in each of my hands. When the elevator doors pinged open on the twentieth floor, I quickly got out and headed towards Logan's office room.
"Good morning, Mia." I greeted Logan's PA who was typing something on her desktop.
"Good morning, Karolia" she gave me her usual professional smile and nodded her head. I then walked towards Logan's big grey door and by pushing open the unlocked door with my body, I entered the room with my eyes still trained on the cups in my hand, making sure to not spill a single drop from it.
"Log, I bought you a….-Ooh," I swallowed my statement as soon as I saw two guests in the room.
"Hey, kiddo." Micah exclaimed from his seat as soon as his eyes landed on me.
"Micah?!" I said in surprise with wide eyes. He soon got up from his seat and approached me for a warm hug. I stood there awkwardly with the two hot drinks in my hand. He pulled away and patted my head with a warm smile.
"Hi, Karolia. Long time no see." Vincent said with his deep voice looking at me intensely. He was seated in the chair and didn't bother to get up which I appreciated well enough. I squirmed in my spot as his intense gaze disturbed me but I tried to keep my cool.
"Hello Vincent," I greeted back and immediately turned my attention towards Micah again. I saw Logan getting up from his seat and approaching me from the corner of my eyes. I stood there as he came and took both of our drinks and placed it on the desk.
"H-How come you're here?" I asked him with a confused expression.
"I came unannounced to talk about some business with Logan. I needed some contacts and details that Logan could fill me up that could assist me in the new business I was planning to start here. You know I'm new here so I might need a little bit of help from your boyfriend." Micah said with a warm smile looking at both Logan and me.
"Ohh nice. I hope I didn't disturb your talk then." I said sheepishly.
"Ah, no dear. We were just about to start when Logan said that you were on your way here." Micah said to which I just smiled.
"When you told me you were working part-time, I did not expect that you were working directly under Logan. He is indeed a supportive one, huh?" Micah asked with a chuckle and I just blushed for no reason.
"He didn't want me to work anywhere else and since he was ready to adjust the work timings for me according to my classes, I agreed. Nothing much, though." I said and glanced at Logan who was standing close to me. He draped his hand around me while pulling me closer to him. I could say that the action wasn't appreciated by someone as I saw a pair of eyes glaring at Logan's arm on me. He soon cleared his throat grabbing the attention.
"Shall we continue where we stopped, Logan? Time is running." Vincent asked, looking straight at him. Logan's grip tightened around me and he nodded his head
"Yes, yes. Let's continue, I don't want to waste his precious time. I hope we are not messing with your schedule." Micah said as soon as he took his seat.
"That's alright. I scheduled all my today's meetings for noon. So I have enough time to discuss." Logan said and went to take his seat across the table. I tried to ignore the two eyes which were watching me as I took the folder from Logan's table that I needed to type. I'm glad he is not ruining it or interrupting us in any form.
"If you guys don't mind, I'll start my work from my room. Let me know when it's over." I said politely and also took my cup of drink before flashing them a warm smile.
"Alright sweetheart. You can carry on." Micah said and I quickly excused myself before sharing a brief look with Logan. In that look, I hope he understood my plea not to bring the issue of Vincent to light in front of Micah.
I quickly entered the room that was designated to me since I started working here. Although I haven't spent much time here and I'm always in Logan's room, I had already personalized the room according to my wish as per Logan's suggestion. I settled on my chair at the far end of the room and placed my cup on the table before taking a sip from it. I started with my work as usual and took a peek at Logan's door now and then.
After what felt like half an hour or so I saw Logan's door open to reveal Micah and Vincent exiting the office soon followed by Logan. I stood up from my seat at once and opened my cabin and walked towards them. My heels clicked on the hallway as I walked towards them at a steady pace.
"Ahh, I was just waiting to see you before we take our leave," Micah said while looking at his watch. He looked up at me with a warm smile. I went to hug and I received it back with an extra pat on my head.
"Whenever you get time, please give this old man a call, alright." He said while caressing my left cheek adoringly.
"Noted." I commented with a teasing smile to which Micah laughed. After exchanging our goodbyes I watch them disappear out of the hallway. Although my interactions with Vincent were lower than minimal I hope it didn't create any suspicion for Micah. I turned my head as I felt Logan's hand on my right elbow.
"Lia, come inside." I frowned and went inside the office room with him and watched as he comfortably sat in his chair.
"How was the talk?" I asked Logan and approached his side.
"Went well. I just had to share some information about the people with whom he was deciding to partner with for his business and yeah stuff like that. He also asked for my assistance to establish the company and for the publications." He said and walked towards the trashcan kept at the corner to dispose of his coffee cup.
"Thank you for the coffee, by the way." He said looking at me and I smiled back.
"You're welcome." I said and walked towards him to lean on his desk in front of him.
"You are okay with doing this?" I asked him and my eyes ran over his facial features.
"Doing what?" Logan asked back with genuine confusion.
"Like, helping Micah, his business… and Vincent." I trailed off at the last part to which I saw Logan stiffen.
"From what I spoke with Micah, I can see that he is trying to involve his son into his business badly. But Vincent doesn't seem like someone who is ready to give up all his youth time and dedicate it for business. He seems rather bland about the idea. I'm not going to interfere in any of their matters unless his son comes into our picture. Don't get me wrong, I'm ready to help them and all but I don't want him anywhere near you, Lia." Logan said with clear determination in his eyes.
"You don't have to worry about that, Log. I haven't gotten any calls from him since that day and I guess he got the message clear now that I'm not interested. I'm sure he wouldn't bother us anymore." I said to him while wrapping my arms around his neck and massaging the back of it slightly to relax him.
"I hope too," Logan said before he pulled me in for a chaste kiss.
*******
(Next day Evening)
There was silence in the room as I stepped out of the washroom. Rubbing my wet hair with a towel, I looked at the clock on the wall and frowned when the time read 6:55 pm. Where the hell is Logan? I haven't seen him since our training this morning. He didn't even come for lunch today saying that he has tons of work at the office. I walked to the nightstand where my cellphone is being charged and picked the phone to call him.
Dialing his number, I turned around to sit on the bed, but that's when I noticed a handwritten note along with a rose lying on the center of the bed. Quickly ending the call before Logan answers, I leaned towards them and grabbed it. I immediately recognized the familiar handwriting and read it.
'At sharp 20.00, Willaim will be waiting for you outside. Wear something red'
My eyebrows scrunched up in confusion and I scanned the paper back and front in the hope of getting more details, but it was in vain. What is this? Right on cue, my ringtone went off and it was Logan's call.
"Log, what's going on?" was the first thing I said as soon as I answered the call.
"So you read the note," he said more like a statement and I nodded my head before I mumbled out a small yes. "It's a surprise, love."
"Surprise?" I asked warily. "Where are you?" I asked unconvinced. Logan's deep chuckle sent a shiver down my spine.
"You'll know soon. Just follow the instructions given on the note." he informs. My eyes again scan the words.
"But-"
"Babe," he interjects. "Trust me, yeah?" he whispers and I can see myself immediately falling for it, forgetting about all my doubts.
"Alright," I say dejectedly. Logan soon ends the call after reminding me again to wear a red elegant dress for the surprise. I sighed heavily and took the beautiful red rose and smelled the fresh fragrance. Then my eyes went to the clock and realized I have only one hour to dress up. My body immediately sprang to action and I ran to the walk-in closet to search for a red dress. Searching through the set of dresses I have in Logan's closet, I came to a disheartening realization that I don't own a red dress that says elegance or formal. Oh, shoot!
What do I do? I bit my lip and walked around the closet in thought. Scarlet is at her grandparents' place, so she is not an option. Then there's Grecia a few doors away and she might own a red dress. Ah yes, Grecia it is. I quickly rushed out of the room and speed-walked towards Grecia's room. I knocked before twisting open the doorknob and entered her room. Grecia was sitting on her bed, browsing in her laptop with her spectacles on. She looked up and smiled at me.
"Hello, dear." she greeted.
"Grecia, I'm sorry to disturb you but I need your help," I said as I fumbled with my fingers.
"It's alright I was just reading something. What is it dear?" Grecia took off her glasses and placed it on the bedside table before getting up from her bed and approaching me.
"Can I borrow a red dress from you?" I asked her sweetly. "I don't have any here and Logan wants me to wear something red for tonight." I explained the reason. Grecia's face lightened up in realization.
"Ah yes, I remember Logan saying he has a surprise for you." Grecia smiled.
"Come on dear, I'm sure I have a perfect one for you." Grecia pulled me towards her closet and started searching for a red dress. After three minutes of searching, she pulled out a dress.
"Here it is," Grecia said excitedly and with me standing in front of a mirror, she placed the dress on my body. It was a spaghetti strap knee-length red dress with ruffles around the chest and knee and a golden belt attached to the waist. It looks like it's going to hug my body perfectly and define my curves well.
"This is so beautiful." I breathe out. "Thank you, Grecia" I say in gratitude.
"Don't mention it, honey. I got this for my homecoming back then. I haven't used it ever since but I always kept it. One of the best days of my life with Logan's dad." Grecia said, a small smile grazing her lips as she thought about the memory. She shook her head to snap out of the memory. "I refused to give it up for some unknown reason. I'm glad it's finally coming to use." She looked up at me with a determined smile.

"Come on, I'll doll you up," she said and I laughed at her excitement. I quickly changed into the dress that fits me so perfectly, and blow-dried my hair, I sat on a chair and let Grecia do her masterpiece on my face.
I tried to coax her into telling me what this surprise is but seems like Logan had firmly instructed her not to spill any beans. So after that, I pretty much gave up and just tried to think of all the scenarios awaiting me. After twenty minutes, I was done. I looked at myself in the mirror and a big smile spread on my face.
"You look so beautiful, honey. I'm sure Logan will love this." Grecia compliments me from behind and I agree with her. My brown hair was curled and left open. I had a smokey brown eyeshadow on my eyelids and cheeks were tinted light pink. Dark red lipstick coated my lips that gave a sexy look to my appearance. I wore golden heels and matching earrings.
"Thank you so much, Grecia. I wouldn't know what to do without you." I hugged her tightly.
"Anytime, sweetie." Grecia laughed and patted my back.
"It's almost time," Grecia said, looking at the clock. "Get going then, sweetheart. Don't forget to have fun." Grecia encouraged me to which I just blushed.
"Alright." I kissed her cheeks and bid her goodbye before rushing towards Logan's room to grab my clutch and a furry shawl. I then climbed the stairs as fast as my heels would carry.
The first thing I noticed when I opened the front door is a black limousine parked in front of the mansion. My eyes widened right away and still in a daze, I carefully walked down the porch step. William was standing in front of the limousine with a grin on his face.
"Miss Kingston," he nods his head at me, his grin widening at my perplexed look.
"Is this for real, William? Or am I just imagining things?" I asked him in bafflement.
"It's one hundred one percent real, Miss," William informs with a smirk. I nod my head and bite my lips, controlling myself not to jump up in excitement in front of the guards. It was always a dream of mine since childhood to travel in a limo car, but I haven't got a chance until now. Oh, Log, what are you up to for tonight?
William opened the door for me and I thanked him before getting inside the luxurious vehicle. My mouth was wide open as I studied the interior of the car. The white leather seats looked comfy and luxurious to sit and the roof of the car had some purple and blue dotted lights which reflected on the seats. A flower vase full of roses along with a wine bottle and glass was placed on top of what looks like a table attached to the left side of the car. Slow background music was played behind which lifted the atmosphere a bit more.
The car looks so beautiful that I was too afraid to touch anything. I sat rigid on my seat, just looking around in wonderstruck. After twenty minutes of the journey, the car stopped at the destination. I fixed my hair and dress and when I was about to open the door, the door was opened for me by William.
"Thank you." I smile at him in gratitude and step out of the car. I looked up at the huge building in front of me. The building has around 30 or so floors and I was intimidated by its height and the people walking in and out of the building. The entire setting of the place screamed richness and I couldn't bring myself to get accumulated into these surroundings.
"Where are we, William?" I hesitantly asked my guard.
"This is where Mr. Watson asked to drop you, Miss. He's waiting for you in the lobby." William informed me. Swallowing the heaviness in my throat, I nod my head and take small steps towards the entrance of the building. A butler opened the glass door for us and I gave him a smile which he didn't return. Hm, maybe he forgot how to smile amidst trying to keep a serious face as a part of his job.
The different chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling of the front lobby illuminate the entire room with its yellow glow and the intricate patterns on the wall also gives a medieval touch to the place. I can feel people's stares on me and even though it was extremely uncomfortable, I tried to keep a stoic face and searched for a familiar face.
My eyes immediately lightened up upon seeing him. Logan was walking towards me with a small smile playing at the corner of his mouth. Every step he took was full of confidence and elegance that it demands every person present in the room to look at him and envy him.
"Hey, love." Logan greeted as he stopped in front of me. I forgot everything about my insecurity as soon as our gaze was locked. His blue eyes had an extra shine in them and also displayed love as his eyes raked down my body.
"So, beautiful." he breathed out sexily. My cheeks immediately brightened up and I smiled shyly.
"You look handsome as always." I winked at him and a genuine smile formed on his lips. Logan was wearing a black suit with a red bow tie along with a red pocket square. No wonder why he specifically asked for a red dress.
"Only for you, beautiful." he winks back.
"Thank you, William. I'll call you when I need you." Logan says. William nods his head and turns around to leave. Logan stepped forward and placed his hand on the small of my back before pushing me forward.
"Come on," We walked towards a fancy looking elevator at the end of the room, ignoring all the looks we're getting from the strangers. I let out a sigh of relief as we entered the elevator and the door pinged close. The elevator itself was big enough to accommodate a football team and I can't be more thankful that there's no one in the elevator except us.
"People really need to learn how to mind their own business." I scowl. Logan chuckles and presses a kiss on my head.
"People's stares and stupid accusations come as one of the packages when we become rich and famous," Logan mumbles sarcastically.
"But, seriously a limousine?" I ask him cheekily. Logan smirks at me and winks.
"What more should I expect for this surprise of yours?" I raise my eyebrows.
"Patience, love. You'll know soon." he chuckles at my enthusiasm. My shoulders sagged and I pout sadly.
"You know I hate surprises right?" I gave him puppy eyes but Logan didn't budge. Logan shrugged his shoulders and chuckled. I made a face at him but decided to play along with him.
We stepped out of the elevator once we hit the nineteenth floor. I noticed there are only two big doors on either side on this floor and the hallway was carpeted with intriguing portraits on the wall. Logan ushered me towards one of the doors.
"Are you ready for the surprise, love?" he asked with a smirk. I raise my eyebrows at him.
"Should I be afraid?" I ask him skeptically. His smirk widened.
"Guess you need to see it yourself to get the answer." He pulled out a key card from his back pocket and unlocked the door. I was holding my breath the entire time, nervousness and excitement bubbling inside me. Logan slowly opened the door, letting me see the view inside. I stepped inside and gasped at the sight in front of me.
The room was very big with a huge glass window that overlooked the city outside at one end of the room. There was a big round table covered with a table cloth at the center of the room and two chairs on either side of it. I noticed a circular staircase leading to another floor and looking closer, I realized there's one more door on this same floor. All the sofas and beanbags of the room were pushed towards one corner of the room. But the best thing was that the entire place was lit up with candles and a beautiful bouquet of red roses were kept at every corner of the room and the floor was filled with rose petals that directed our way towards the table.
It's a date. A surprise romantic date.
"Wow. This is so beautiful, Log." I breathed out in awe. I felt Logan's presence behind me before his lips gently grazed my earlobes.
"Just like you, my love," he whispered in my ears. I turned around to face him and wrap my arms around his neck before standing on my tiptoes and kissing him. Logan took no time to respond as he wrapped his hands around my hips and pulled me closer to his body.
"This is the best surprise ever," I mumbled against his lips. Logan pulled back from the kiss and gazed at me with affection.
"The best one out of all the surprises?" he asked me. I thought about it for a second and shook my head NO.
"Honestly, now when I think, each one is different and has its own unique experience," I say to him, smiling genuinely. Logan nods his head, agreeing with me.
"So is this the penthouse you talked about once?" I asked him.
"Yes," he nods his head. "As I said, I bought this in an impulse as soon as I saw the advertisement two years back. But now it turned out to be helpful." he chuckles. I shake my head, chuckling as well.
"Shall we start with our date then?" he asked me with a charming smile, thrusting his right hand forwards for me to take. I nodded my head quickly and held his hand which earned a chuckle from him. Logan led me towards the table and pulled out a chair for me and pushed it back in. There was a bowl of water with rose petals and candles floating on it at the center of the table along with a champagne bottle and two glasses. I watched Logan as he walked towards the kitchen and moments later, he came back with two dinner plates in his hand. He placed it on the table and opened it. There was spaghetti in one plate and steak on the other. He again went back to the kitchen and came back with another set of dinner plates of other varieties of dishes.
"Don't tell me you cooked all this?" I asked him incredulously with a hand on my chest. Logan had a proud smirk on his face as he took his seat across me.
"Every dish is prepared by me. Just for my love." he winks and bows his head when I clap my hands for him.
"No wonder you were unreachable when I dialed you this noon." I say in realization, taking a sip of the champagne. We soon dug in and I kept on appreciating him as my taste buds kept exploding with amazing flavors. Small conversations were passed between us as we ate our main course. Ignoring my offer to help him in bringing the dessert, Logan again walked towards his kitchen before returning with the desert.
He placed it in front of me and opened the lid. I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Blueberry cheesecake?"
"Yep." he replied proudly.
"Is someone trying to flex that they can cook better than me?" I tease him. Logan's smirk intensified and I got my answer.
"Babe, it's the fact. Why should I flex when everyone knows about it?" He squared his shoulders and had a proud look on his face. I roll my eyes at him.
"Whatever," I say and take my fork before digging into the cheesecake directly from the plate. Logan chuckles at my impatience before he follows my action.
"My stomach is full now." I rubbed my tummy. "I rate the service and the food a 10."
"Why thank you, ma'am," Logan bowed in front of me with one hand behind his back and other on his abdomen. I giggled loudly.
"Will you dance with me?" Logan asked, extending his hand out for me.
"I would be honored." I smile and place my hand on his. Logan wrapped his fingers around my palms before he pulled me up from the chair. He led me towards the glass window before playing a song from his phone. Logan clasped both hands on my waist and pulled me closer to him. I wrap my arms around his neck and locked our gaze, swaying to the music played in the background.
I'd spend ten thousand hours and ten thousand more
Oh, if that's what it takes to learn that sweetheart of yours
And I might never get there, but I'm gonna try
If it's ten thousand hours or the rest of my life
I'm gonna love you (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
There was a warm smile on both of our faces as we enjoyed the music and swayed along with the pleasant music. Logan twirled me a couple of times and we laughed heartily as we had fun doing the simplest of moves.
But as soon as the next song started to play the atmosphere changed immediately. Logan pulled me closer and held me like that as he moved from side to side. His warm breath fell on my face. We just engaged into staring, our eyes spoke with each other and my insides tightened at his love-lust filled look.
Let's take both of our souls, and intertwine
When it comes to you, don't be blind
Watch me speak from my heart
When it comes to you, comes to you
"I love you so damn much," he whispered in my ears. I closed my eyes and breathed shakily at the intensity of our connection.
"I love you too, Logan Zachery Watson." I replied breathlessly. "It hurts just at the thought of leaving you. Promise me, Log." I bore my eyes into his dark blue ones.
"Promise me to never let go. Promise me that you and I will have a future together." I pleaded emotionally. My reality, our reality is a rollercoaster now. It's uncertain, never knowing where the next deep slope is at.
"I promise you to always hold your hands. And I promise you that I'll never break your trust in me. Together we shall live and together we'll cherish each other." I sobbed at his vow and again stood on my tiptoes to press a kiss on his lips. I could feel every single emotion in me and I'm proud to say only he, only Logan Watson can make me feel this way.
"Hold on. I got something for you." he took hold of my bottom lip between his own and gently bit it before he released it and stepped back.
"Still more surprises?" I asked him.
"Babe, who said my surprises are over?" he smirks and I gave him a disbelief look. Is he for real?
"You do know that this is making it very difficult for me to surprise you back, right?"
"Oh, I know. And I intend to keep it that way" he winks at me. Logan walked towards the TV stand and opened one of the drawers and took a red box from it.
"Open it." He gives me the box. I hesitantly grabbed it from him and clicked open the lock before pulling back the lid. Inside the box was a silver necklace with a heart-shaped pendant in the middle.
"This is so pretty," I whispered, letting my fingers graze the intricate patterns on the small pendant. I took the necklace from the box before studying it again. The pendant looked like it could be opened at the side as its structure was kind of 3-D. I tried to open it but Logan stopped me by placing his hand on top of mine.
"It cannot be opened. You'll break it if you try." he quickly said and I nod my head in understanding.
"Thank you so much, Log. I loved it" I say to him seriously. "But you already gave me one. Why again?" I say and show him the necklace he gave me at the woodhouse that I always wear.
"I know. This is just another one. I felt this would suit you more and I guess this holds much more meaning since I'm giving this to the love of my life now." he said while looking straight to my eyes. I gaze at him and we hold our contact for a second more before he breaks and takes the necklace from me before turning me around. He carefully wrapped the necklace around my neck and I looked down at it, the coldness of the metal sending shivers through my body.
"From now onwards I want you to wear this. Never take this one out, yeah?" he said and placed a kiss on my neck. "This necklace holds a deep meaning to me"
I turn around to face him. "I won't. Every gift from you is very dear and special to me as it is for you. Maybe much more." I smile at him. He bent down to press a lingering kiss on my forehead. Logan turned off the music from his phone before looking at me deeply. My insides shook to the core. I know that look. Logan took my hand in his before leading me towards the stairs that are again covered with rose petals.
"What's your weird obsession with roses, today?" I chuckled, trying my best not to step on any, but it seemed impossible.
"What? I thought roses are romantic." Logan turned his head to look at me in curiosity and I shook my head at his cuteness.
"Yes, it is. But I would say you went a bit overboard." I say, pressing with my thumb and index finger to exaggerate 'a bit'
"Whatever, it's still romantic." he shrugged his shoulders and tugged my hand towards him. The floor only had a room that took up the entire space. Logan opened the door and I realized it was a bedroom. Again, Logan had decorated it with red roses and the entire room was made of glass. The ceiling was sloped but it was also made of glass and the best thing about it was behind the glass was a picture of twinkling small stars, so that it looks as if we are looking at the night sky and are on the top level of the building, but it's the only nineteenth floor.
From behind, Logan wrapped his hands around my midriff and pressed a kiss on my collarbone.
"So, how was the date?" he asked me.
"The best," I replied.
"Shall I make it better?" I asked, hinting something. I smiled shyly, my heartbeat escalating.
"I'm totally in." Logan turned me around before smashing his lips on mine. Just as he said, the night turned out to be ten times better.
******
I scrunch my eyes shut in annoyance as soon as I felt the alarm on Logan's phone go off. I stretch my body and arms without even opening my eyes. I was about to snap at Logan to switch off his alarm but my two eyes snapped open in an instant when I couldn't feel him beside me. I got up in a haste and looked around only to realize that we are still in his penthouse. Yesterday's events rushed into my head again and plopped back on the bed, releasing a heavy sigh. I seriously thought I was somewhere else for a second there. I took the phone and switched off the alarm but the note beside the phone caught my eye. There was a rose laying on top of the note, again. I rolled my eyes with a soft smile before taking the note in my hand.
'Freshen up and come down to have a delicious breakfast prepared by your favorite chef'
I snickered once I read the note and quickly headed to the washroom to do my business. Just twenty minutes later I descended the stairs after having taken a quick hot shower. I put on the comfy white woolen knitted cardigan and black tights that were placed on the bed once I came after my shower.
I entered the kitchen and my eyes soon landed on the big broad shoulders of Logan who seemed to have a chef's hat on his head. I chuckled as soon as I saw it and Logan immediately turned around knowing my presence. My favorite chef
"Good morning, mi amor." A sweet smile graced my lips as soon as I heard his endearment. It hits different hearing in Spanish. I approached him and kissed his cheeks.
"A very good morning indeed," I said before I helped him arrange the breakfast. We conversed with small topics as we ate our hearty breakfast. Once we finished eating I offered to clean up the dishes and soon after then we were both sprawled on the living room couch as we watched the TV.
"How much longer are we staying here?" I asked while cocking my head up.
"Until your next surprise arrives." He said with a soft smile. His answer immediately made me straighten up.
"It didn't end yet?" I ask him incredulously.
"Nope." He popped the 'p' which made me glare at him.
"This is too much, Log. You already did eno-" My rant was cut off by the sound of the calling bell. I looked at Logan who eyed me back.
"Go and open the door." He whispered for a dramatic effect to which I rolled my eyes and got up. Nevertheless, I couldn't keep the smile off my face when I headed to open the door but nothing prepared me for this surprise.
My mouth opened up in shock as soon as I opened the door. My eyes widened at seeing the person in front of me and right away, my eyes welled up with tears and my hand flew to my mouth in shock.
"A-Aunt Jamie?"
