Chapter 21: Use Fists To Solve Problems.

Hearing Benjamin's sarcastic tone, the team leader immediately became enraged. Then, he charged again, aiming a punch at Benjamin's chest. However, unlike the previous time, Benjamin didn't retreat. Instead, he raised his hand, firmly gripping the team leader's fist.

"So, this is all you've got. I'm disappointed."

Benjamin threw a punch straight at the team leader's chest without pausing.

Crack...

The team leader's face turned pale, hastily retreated a few steps, coughing and feeling immense pain in his chest.

"Damn it, what are you guys waiting for? Catch this brat. I want him to kneel before me today, beg, and apologize!"

The furious team leader yelled. The remaining security guards rushed over, brandishing their weapons and attacking Benjamin. It was then that Isabella finally reacted and hurriedly tried to intervene.

"Stop, all of you, stop right now!"

However, the guards didn't care about her. Apart from Carwyn's orders, the team leader was their only leader. Therefore, Isabella's plea had no effect. Instead, it only provoked the guards to be even more ruthless.

"Hit him, break his legs!"

"Carwyn, what do you mean by this? Tell them to stop immediately!"

Seeing the guards ignoring her words and continuing to charge at Benjamin, Isabella became frantic and turned to Carwyn for help.

Yet, Carwyn's face was full of fury. His eyes glared at Isabella, revealing a venomous expression.

"What do I want to do? Of course, I want to beat him to death. Damn it, more than a decade ago, I risked my life and went to jail for what? Wasn't it to protect your father? I'm only taking a few pennies from your father's company. And yet, you dare to let this worthless guard attack on me. Do you think that little money can compensate for the years I wasted in prison?"

As Carwyn spoke, his tone became increasingly agitated. At this moment, the guards rushed in, directing their attacks toward Benjamin. However, Benjamin wasn't panicked as Carwyn and the others had imagined. A disdainful smile appeared on his lips.

"Hmph, you think a bunch of trash like you can break my legs?! Ha ha ha, this is truly laughable!"

As Benjamin's laughter rang out, a guard lunged forward, swinging an iron baton straight at him. But as the baton touched Benjamin's body, his leg shot forward, kicking the guard flying.

Crash!

From over ten meters away, Benjamin's kick sent the guard's body flying, colliding with another guard nearby.

Crash... crash...

The sounds of impact continued as the remaining guards tried to attack. However, Benjamin's body charged forward, delivering punches that landed squarely on them.

Thud!

Boom!

The entire group of guards was defeated within seconds. As everyone looked on, Benjamin stood before the team leader, his cold gaze fixed on him.

"What now? Do you want me to make the first move, or do you want to get out of here yourself?"

"You... don't come any closer... I... I have a knife!"

Seeing his comrades quickly beaten and Benjamin's swift strikes, the team leader could not see Benjamin's movements. As Benjamin approached, the leader panicked, retreating a few steps before pulling out a dagger from his pocket and brandishing it at Benjamin to intimidate him.

But Benjamin showed no fear, only more disdain.

"So, you've chosen death?!"

Benjamin's body moved as he spoke, charging straight toward the team leader. But at that moment, the leader's eyes suddenly turned sinister, and a sneer appeared on his lips.

"It's all because you forced me!"

With that, the man pulled out a small handgun, aimed it at Benjamin, and pulled the trigger.

Bang!

"Ahh!"

Hearing the gunshot, everyone in the conference room was horrified, screaming in unison. Even Isabella's face turned pale, and she covered her mouth with her hand.

"Ha ha ha, you are an idiot! Did you think I was afraid of you?"

After the gunshot, the team leader's face showed extreme satisfaction. Unable to contain himself, he burst into loud laughter. However, his laughter quickly turned rigid as he noticed Benjamin standing completely unharmed before him.

"Ah well, I almost got injured by you there. Lucky for me, I had this little treasure on me, so the damage wasn't too serious!"

Benjamin pulled a coin from his shirt with a slightly dented bullet mark on it. Although the gun the team leader used was only a self-defense weapon with low damage potential, being shot in the chest at such close range would have caused significant harm to anyone else. Fortunately, Benjamin had a habit of carrying a coin in his pocket as a keepsake, so the gunshot only caused him mild discomfort.

Naturally, the team leader became terrified and enraged after seeing that his shot did not affect Benjamin.

"Damn it, one shot didn't kill you. Fine, let me give you a few more. I don't believe my gun can't kill you!"

As he finished speaking, the team leader pulled the trigger again. However, Benjamin wasn't foolish enough to stand still and let himself be shot. He quickly lunged forward, grabbing the gun from the team leader's hand with one hand while striking the man's chest with the other.

"Ugh!"

The team leader grunted in frustration as he was knocked back, but Benjamin had a firm grip on his wrist. Benjamin held him tight as the man's body was about to fly backward.

"If you don't want to leave this place, let me escort you further."

Benjamin snatched the gun from the team leader's hand and dragged him to a window. He threw the man out with a slight shove, crashing through the glass and falling several feet below onto the construction site.

The sounds of impact and shattering glass intensified the tension in the room. Benjamin slowly approached Carwyn, gently patted his shoulder, and spoke softly.

"Carwyn, have you thought carefully about this? Either you pay the workers their wages, or I'll use force to make you cough up the money you and your accomplices have swallowed."

Although Benjamin's movements seemed gentle and his voice calm, in the eyes of Carwyn and the high-ranking managers present, he appeared like a ruthless, bloodthirsty demon. Carwyn's body trembled slightly, and the other managers couldn't help but swallow hard.

"Isabella, do you... do you want me to do this?"

Isabella herself couldn't believe her eyes at that moment. She never thought Benjamin could go so far. But seeing Carwyn's pleading gaze directed towards her, Isabella eventually let out a quiet sigh in her heart.

Indeed, if she hadn't heard Carwyn's angry words earlier, she might have softened and not wanted to escalate the situation. However, at this point, she had lost all hope in him. She could see that Carwyn harbored deep resentment towards her and her father all along, and everything he had done was just to regain his benefits.

Nonetheless, Isabella didn't want to push him to the breaking point. She remained silent for a moment, then gently stood up and spoke.

"Uncle Carwyn, I don't want to dwell on your actions or resort to the law to resolve this. However, you should pay the workers their full wages. Moreover, the compensation provided by the company for the injured workers last time should be handed over by you. It may not be significant for you, but it is crucial for them."

"Money... what money? Didn't I have my secretary personally deliver it to their families the other day? Among those workers is the son of a fallen comrade from the battlefield. I've always treated them well. How could I possibly take all their money?"

As he spoke, Carwyn looked questioningly at Aria, his secretary, sitting beside him.

Seeing Carwyn's doubtful gaze, Aria's face turned pale with panic. She hurriedly stood up, knelt on the floor, and repeatedly explained.

"Mr... Carwyn, this... this was all handled by Galvin on his own. I... I didn't know anything about it. Really... really, I had no idea!"

Witnessing Aria's current demeanor, even a fool like Carwyn could sense that something had gone wrong. Galvin's his adopted son, he became furious, stood up, and angrily kicked Aria.

"Damn, you wretched woman! You even dared to go behind my back on this. Don't think I don't know about your underhanded dealings with my good-for-nothing adopted son. Now, you two conspire to commit such a heinous act. Do you believe I'll feed you to the fish in the pond?"

In his rage, Carwyn continued to punch and kick Aria. Yet, she seemed terrified by his anger and only begged for forgiveness.

"I was wrong, I admit it. Please, forgive me this time!"

"Damn it, get out!"

Although it was unclear whether they were playact or being genuine, the internal issues of the construction site management were ultimately resolved thoroughly. After Benjamin and Isabella left, Carwyn promptly arranged for the workers' wages to be paid and their debts settled. He then submitted his resignation and stepped down from his senior management position at the New Harbor construction site. From that point on, almost the entire site underwent a significant overhaul, with individuals like Aria and Galvin being fired directly by Isabella.

However, those matters will be discussed later. For now, Benjamin and Isabella had left the New Harbor construction site. Although Isabella's expression had returned to normal, her face still seemed to carry a heavy burden of unspoken concerns.
