Chapter 13

When I opened my eyes, I saw my family cottage. The 500 ackards of grapes and strawberries. The cottage I stayed in growing up, with my brother and sister helping me, and taking care of me… The bakery that we would work in with mother and father. I fell to my knees at the sight.

“This can’t be real?!” Ezekiel looked at the cottage, but acted as he did not see what I did.

“Only God can see what your heart truly desires.” I looked up at him, realizing that what I saw was just an illusion. I stood up, and took a deep breath.

“What is it you see Ezekiel?” I was curious what an angel desired. He laughed. It was like my question was stupid.

“I see what all angels see, and demons for that matter…. I am surprised you actually have a pure desire. To not be able to see it…. That is interesting.” I looked at him and back at the cottage. What was I not seeing?
