Acting Blindly

"Ugh, it hurts like hell." Cassandra groaned the moment she woke up. She opened her eyes and held her private part which was hurting her like crazy. Since last time was her first time to have an intimate moment with someone, her thing down there felt like pulsing.

"Why does it hurt so much? Is this normal for a first-timer?" She continuously asked herself and she was almost nearly crying.

She looked everywhere when she noticed that the drunken man from last night was not inside the locker room anymore. It looked like what happened to them was just a one-night stand and he already left the place without saying anything.

Cassandra immediately stood up from the bench when she heard a sudden thudding in the main kitchen. She walked over to the door and peeked, then she found out that it was Chef Arvee who just got to work.

"What?! Did I fall asleep for too long?!" She asked herself in disbelief since she knew that Chef Arvee would always go to the restaurant early in the morning to start preparing.

"La la la la~" She heard her humming continuously while walking her way towards the door to the locker room where she was in now.

She hurried to close the door and realized that she was still naked. "Oh, dear. If you're just too lucky." She uttered in silence while looking for her clothes around the room. She put them on, but there was something off, the only thing missing was her undies. She remembered that the man last night threw it somewhere, but she couldn't find it.

"Where did you fly? Where did you fly?" She asked herself while roaming her eyes around the area. She looked everywhere until she found that her underwear was stuck on the top edge of the lockers. "How lucky can I get?" She uttered to herself, then rushed to get the undies. She jumped as high as she could, but she failed to get it since it was out of her reach.

"Dang!" Cassandra groaned when she still couldn't get it.

She heard the doorknob creaking a few seconds later. Chef Arvee had probably made it to the door, but she still hadn't gotten her underpants. She hurriedly glanced about for a place to hide until she thought of unlocking her locker and concealing herself inside.

"Another day, another time to battle. Argh." She heard Chef Arvee say as she stretched out her arms. Cassandra could see her from the holes inside the locker.

With her fingers crossed, she was hoping that Chef Roose wouldn't see her undies hanging on the edge of the locker, or else she was so doomed. "Oh, St. Michael, St, John, St. Anne, St. Joseph. Please, let there be a miracle now. Don't let her see it, I'm begging you." She began to pray to all of the saints she knew just so the chef wouldn't locate her underwear.

Cassandra felt her heart racing once again; she wouldn't have a face to show to her co-workers once they figured out that she had sex last night at the locker room. Her chest felt heavy every second that would drop because she didn't know what Chef Arvee would do next.

"Oops, why didn't Cassandra bring the mop to its proper place?" Chef Arvee said as she bent over to pick up the mop on the floor and that was when Cassandra remembered that she forgot about cleaning the restaurant since the drunken man came in to distract her.

It was just five in the morning, but they already had to work double since there was going to be an important event coming in the next few days.

The door to the back door just suddenly opened and Cassandra heard another one of her co-workers come in. "Good morning, people! What are we waiting for? Let's get to business!" April said in a lively manner, but she was a bit disappointed to see that only Chef Arvee was inside the locker room.

"Good morning, April. You're as lively as ever." She greeted her right away.

"Of course, I'm excited about the decorations of the wedding. The client is a billionaire and I know this is going to be grand!" April answered as her energetic voice remained.

"Well, then. I have to head out to the kitchen to prepare things. Just come on over once you're done." Chef Arvee said, then she went out of the locker room. Although the Secret Tavern was closed, they still got a lot of orders thru delivery, so the kitchen was still busy.

Not long after that, April changed to her uniform but Cassandra became too careless and banged her head on the wall of the locker room which caused a loud noise. April's attention shifted to her direction with her eyes squinted and her forehead creased.

"Hello? Who's in there? Anybody there?" She asked in a curious manner while she was slowly walking in her direction.

Cassandra covered her mouth with her hands so as to not hear her breathing, but April was so determined to open her locker. If she would get caught at this time, April might just think badly of her. She still hadn't gotten home since yesterday's shift and for what valid reason would she have to stay at the building?

"I know someone is in there. Come on, show your face." April continued to say until she finally reached the locker door. Cassandra didn't know what to do, but she had already given up since there was no other way out.

She was about to open it, but Chef Arvee suddenly yelled, "April, come over here! Help me carry this tank!" With that, April wasn't able to continue opening the door.

"I'll be there!" She said, then she went out of the locker room and headed straight to the main kitchen to help Chef Arvee.

The moment that she closed the door, Cassandra let out a deep sigh of relief, then she immediately went out of the locker. "Phew, I thought that was the end of me." She told herself.

She rushed to move one of the chairs to the side to be able to reach her underwear. "Oh, dear. Good thing they didn't find it or it's gonna be too shameful." She told herself as she put it on and went out of the building right away.

Upon walking down the streets, Cassandra noticed the dawn in the city of New York. It was really beautiful, but the mighty city was still asleep from the busy day. The atmosphere was so light and she felt as if she could feel better just by inhaling the fresh air.

Cassandra began to walk until she got into their house. No one was up at the moment, so she sneaked in because her mom and dad might get angry once they found out that she had just gotten home. She successfully got inside the house and went directly to her room and tiptoed.

"Ahhh, finally! It feels like it's been years since the last time I laid down on my bed." Cassandra uttered as she dove herself onto her bed and without noticing it, she had fallen asleep due to weariness.

*RING RING RING*

"Monsters! Get away from me!" She shouted in her dreams as she got up, sweating. Cassandra let out a deep sigh, catching up to her breathing because she woke up by the continuous ringing coming from her phone.

She looked at the screen display and saw that it was Eleanor calling. "Cassy, where are you? You're almost late, we have a lot of things to do." She said in a worried tone of voice, so Cassy looked at the clock and saw that it was 8:30. Her work was at nine in the morning, yet she was still wearing the uniform from yesterday.

"Oh, shit! You're right! I slept in. All right, I'll be there before nine." She immediately dropped the call and got up from the bed in a hurry.

While she was taking her clothes off, she noticed that there was something inside her pocket. She took it out only to find out that it was a piece of paper and there was something written on it… A mobile number together with a note that the man from last night hoped to talk about what happened between them.

Her forehead wrinkled in an instant and she felt somewhat degraded. "Hm, what's this about? Are you kidding me?" Cassandra told herself as she scoffed. "There's nothing to talk about because I'm forgetting what happened last night. It was a big mistake, geez." She continued to say, then she just put the paper down on her bedside table and went straight to the bathroom to take a shower.

While she was letting her body get wet from the cold shower, she couldn't stop thinking about the guy last night. The way he moved and looked could have made Cassandra feel different, and she still couldn't believe that her virginity was now taken by a mere stranger who wanted to talk with her about what happened.

"Am I stupid or just plain crazy? What's happening to me? His pretty face is pinned inside my head." She groaned as she banged her head on the wall gently.

She finally got out of the shower and immediately changed to her uniform to get to work. As soon as she got down to the kitchen, her mom and dad were now eating their breakfast. It was yet another moment of silence for the three of them since her parents were very strict when it came to her.

"What time did you go home last night? You didn't eat dinner with us." Her mother, Amaia, began to say with a poker face while slicing her pancake.

Cassandra still hadn't even taken a seat, yet she felt full from the meal. She gulped and kissed her mom and dad to greet them good morning. "I was assigned to clean the entire restaurant last night, so I got home pretty late." She said in a low tone of voice, a little hesitant to answer.

"Hm, I called Eleanor last night and you're not with her?" Her father, Sylver, continued to interrogate her.

A faint smile was seen on her face, then she eventually shook her head left and right. "Nope, she went home first because it was her mother's birthday." She said, then she drank the milk prepared by her mother. "Anyway, I have to go now, mom and dad. We have a big client coming, so I can't be late for today. I'll see you later." Cassandra kissed her parents once again and bid her goodbye.

She rushed to go to her work and it only took her 5 minutes since her house was just near the restaurant if she would take a cab. She got there at exactly 8:55 and Eleanor was in the locker room, waiting for her.

"Perfect timing! I thought you're gonna be late again. You're just in time." Eleanor greeted her while she was preparing for today's work.

In an instant, Cassandra felt really guilty and shameful about what she had done last night. She didn't want to tell anyone about it, especially Eleanor and Charlotte who knew her big time.

"W-well, of course, I can't be too late because we have an important client, right?" Cassandra said and let out a fake laugh. She was nervous whenever she would think of how she became lewd last night.

Eleanor sat down on the bench, and Cassandra couldn't look at her. "So, what happened last night?" She asked in a serious manner which made Cassandra's cheeks turn red, thinking that she was caught redhanded and Eleanor knew about her shameless deed.

Her hands began to tremble and her heart was beating abnormally. "W-What? What do you mean? You knew?" Cassandra asked as her voice stuttered.

Eleanor rolled her eyes heavenwards and smirked at her. "Duh, of course, I know. Did you see a ghost? Perhaps it scared you, huh? You're such a scaredy-cat." She said in a teasing manner, and then she laughed it off.

Cassandra wasn't sure how she would respond, but she felt relieved that Eleanor was talking about anything else. She had assumed that Eleanor was already aware of what had occurred in the locker room the night before.

"Nothing happened last night." She thriftily answered, then a sly grin flashed her pretty face.
