The Crazy Trio

Kurumi Pov-

'Are you really trying to shoot me? I like you.'

That line kept repeating itself inside my head as I pointed the archaic pistol toward the guy in front of me. Feeling that something sharp was touching my neck, I looked at the girl who was pointing a kunai at my throat with a smile on her face.

"Ara-Ara~ It's been a while since someone was able to point a blade at me, much less touch my skin with it." I said as a crazy smile appeared on my face.

"Believe me, I can do much more than touching you with a kunai." The girl replied, licking her lips.

[Ding! 'The Worst Spirit' and 'The Divine Prophet' are warned that killing other Chat Group members is strictly forbidden]

A notification from the Chat Group? I turned toward the boy again before realising something.

'Oh. It's the admin and his girlfriend.' I thought, looking at the golden hologram in front of me. I wasn't able to remember them instantly because the photo they sent was very inappropriate, to say the least. Not to mention that I was distracted thanks to Tatsuya's left eye, which, for some reason, was the same as mine.

"Women." Tatsuya muttered, shaking his head. That comment definitely had a deeper meaning.

But all of that didn't matter right now.

Looking at Tatsuya, I asked. "Was that a Jojo reference?"

Many might not realise but 'Are you really trying to shoot me? I like you.' was one of the few underrated lines graced by Dio's vampire tongue.

"Wait. You got that reference?" Tatsuya asked, surprised. Mikasa was the same as him.

'Are they my fellow cultured people?' I thought, wondering if that was true.

I deactivated Zafkiel as the archaic pistol in my hand disappeared before walking towards the bed. Taking a seat on the bed, I motioned those two to take a seat.

Now, the three of us were sitting while facing each other, there was no need for any more words. Turning towards Tatsuya, I said. "People die if..."

"They are killed." He replied without any delay.

Turning towards Mikasa, I said. "Just because you're correct..."

"... Doesn't mean you're right." Again, she replied without any delay.

'As I thought.' Before I could say anything, Mikasa interrupted.

"The more carefully you scheme..." She said.

"... The more unexpected events come along." I continued where she left off.

"You may have outsmarted me..." Tatsuya said.

"...But I outsmarted your outsmarting." I continued.

"The best waifu?"

"Speedwagon."

After doing this for around half an hour, Tatsuya took a deep breath before saying. "177."

My eyes widened in surprise before I asked. "Are we really doing this?"

Both of them looked at each other and nodded.

"013." I said with a sigh. That was something I wish to forget even now.

"228." Mikasa said, turning towards me.

"922." I replied, wondering how far have I fallen. After doing this for another half an hour, we stopped. And I realised something. The three of us are definitely crazy- ahem* Cultured.

"It's nice to meet a fellow cultured person." Mikasa said while Tatsuya nodded in approval.

"Anyway, Tatsuya-san, why is your eye the same as mine?" I asked, removing the bangs that covered my left eye.

"Woah." They both exclaimed, looking at me.

"It suits her better than you." Mikasa said.

"Agreed." Tatsuya replied. Both of them were still staring at me.

"Zafkiel." Tatsuya muttered.

As he said that, a Zafkiel similar to mine manifested behind him. Except for the clock hands being different from the one I use, everything else was similar.

After a few seconds, Tatsuya continued. "I have a skill called Zafkiel as well. But it's different from yours. Unlike you, this ability solely belongs to me."

I tilted my head in confusion. "But the one I use also belongs to me, doesn't it?"

Tatsuya shook his head before replying. "It belongs to the weird crystal-like object inside your body."

'Is he talking about my Sephira Crystal?' I thought. Sephira Crystals were objects that can turn Humans into Spirits and will act as their power source in future. A long time ago, it was the Sephira Crystal that turned me into a Spirit.

"But it belongs to me either way, doesn't it?" I asked again.

This time, Mikasa answered. "He can't tell you any more than that without looking into your past and future. There are a lot of limitations on abilities that are related to time, I think you know it better than I do?"

'Maybe I should ask them about the First Spirit?' I thought, wondering if they'll be able to use their abilities in another world.

"Can you look into my future? There are some things I wish to know." I asked, looking at Mikasa.

"He can." She said, pointing towards Tatsuya. Weren't you supposed to be 'The Divine Prophet'?

"But I'll see everything that happened in your life. Are you sure about that?" Tatsuya asked, looking at me.

"I'll need some proof that you can do it." I asked.

He looked at me for a second before smiling. Getting up from the bed, he walked towards me, gesturing for me to lend him an ear.

I was confused but still complied. A second later, he whispered something in my ear. "You had a habit of cosplaying as different characters. A Demon Lord, a Vampire who wears a bandage to cover her left eye and a cross necklace and earpiece, and an assassin who wears a kimono. Not to mention you forced a company to produce heart-shaped eye patches for your cosplays. All in all, an ultra-high level Chunibyo. A particular liking for cats and other cute stuff, which you try your-"

Image.

"S-Stop. I believe you, just shut up already." Shouting, I pushed him away. Hearing him expose my darkest secrets like that, I almost passed out.

'All my secrets are exposed. My image as the most dangerous spirit is ruined. All that I worked so hard for is gone. Is there even any meaning to life?' Covering my face with my hands, I internally sulked, wanting nothing more than to run away.

"Don't worry about it. I won't tell anyone your 'secrets'." Tatsuya said.

Removing my hands from my face, I looked at his kind smile. 'What a kind person.' I thought.

"But I can't do anything about her." He said while pointing at Mikasa, who was barely holding back her laugh.

"Mikasa-san, you won't, right?" I asked.

She smiled at me but didn't answer my question, which worried me. Turning towards Tatsuya, she asked. "Where is Yue?"

"She should be here." Tatsuya said before a hologram appeared in front of me.

[The Last Judgement is online]

[The Divine Prophet is online]

[The Immortal Loli is online]

[The Worst Spirit is online]

[The Last Judgement(Admin)- Yue, where are you?]

[The Immortal Loli- Something happened. A screenshot.JPG*]

It was a screenshot of a chat group notification saying that the World Travelling Cards can only be used once a week.

'Does that mean after travelling to another member's world, we'll have to stay for a week before we can go back?'

"She'll definitely give Rimuru some hard time." Tatsuya muttered, looking in front of him.

[The Divine Prophet- Yue, you have to stay calm.]

'What are you? Her parents?' I thought.

[The Immortal Loli- Oh. I am calm, very calm in fact. A photo of the Great Jura Forest on Fire with a slime acting as a fire brigade.JPG*]

[The Last Judgement(Admin)- Yue, don't cause any more trouble for Rimuru.]

[The Immortal Loli-...]

[The Last Judgement- Got it?]

Why does it sound like you're explaining something to your rebellious pet?

[The Last Judgement-... Fine. Just a little bit of fire won't be harmful.]

[The Immortal Loli is offline]

A rebellious pet indeed.

Closing the chat group, Tatsuya looked at me. "So, do you want me to look or not?"

After pondering about it for a few minutes, I replied with a serious expression. "I want you to look, please."

"Well, give me your hand." Tatsuya said, extending his right hand as he closed his eyes.

Without thinking about it much, I rested my hand on top of his.

'Thinking about it now, it might be the first time I am holding another guy's hand like this.' I thought. Of course, that was ignoring the guys whose hands I've broken when I had nothing better to do.

After a few minutes, he opened his eyes again while looking at me.

'Maybe he saw how I kill people just for the sake of it.' I thought, wondering if he'll hate me for this or run away? Well, not that it matters as long as I get the information I want.

"Your life was quite rough, wasn't it?" He said with a smile.

Hearing his response, I was surprised. That was not something I expected. He was looking at me like a person rather than someone who has killed over 10,000 people, which wasn't something I am used to.

"That's an understatement, you know?" I said with a smile. "But can you tell me about what I wish to know?"

"Wait. I can only answer the questions you ask me, so I have a better idea. How about I tell you whatever I feel is important enough? There are a few things that you'll definitely not ask. As for the price, that's something that you'll have to pay before the last answer is given." He explained.

I thought about it for a minute before nodding. "Please tell me whatever you think is important."

"Well, for starters, you can't kill the First Spirit, Mio Takamiya, no matter what you do."

"Please elaborate." I was slightly taken aback by this and asked again.

"Well, things are like this. You have a portion of her power that she can take back at any given moment. And even if she doesn't, the sheer difference in strength isn't something you can close just by having the Reiryoku of three spirits."

"Then what should I do?" I asked.

"The reason Mio did everything was to bring her lover back to life. After partially resurrecting him, she gave parts of her power to ten young girls who'll eventually fall into his hands so he can become eternal, much like Mio herself. You, Kurumi, are one of them. This process killed a lot of innocent people, including your best friend. With the Sephira Crystals inside them, the girls are bound to fall in love with him, it's like a fate forced upon them because of Mio's feeling of 'love' acting as a catalyst in the creation of Sephira Crystals. For this to come true, she gave her lover a very peculiar power." Tatsuya smiled at me. "Can you guess what it is?"

I had an idea but still decided to ask him. "What is it?"

His smile widened a little before he replied. "The power to seal a Spirit's Reiryoku. You're safe because of the Chat Group."

"Is that true?" I asked, tilting my head in confusion as a golden hologram appeared in front of me.

[That is true. The Chat Group is nullifying Sephira Crystal's influence on The Worst Spirit's consciousness]

Tatsuya smiled at me before continuing. "You can't kill him so forget about that."

"Are you reading my mind? And why can't I kill him?" I asked. What he said was correct. The first thought I had after hearing him was to kill the guy called Shido.

"Do you think Mio didn't have any countermeasures in place just in case? As for reading your mind, that's something you can decide on your own." His smile turned into a mischievous one before he continued. "But you can torment him to release some stress, I can help if you want."

"That's definitely not a bad idea. Then I won't be polite, Tatsuya-san~." I said, licking my lips in expectation. Just thinking about it makes me tingle in excitement. Ah~

"This is the last thing I can tell before you're required to pay the price." He said with a serious expression.

"Go on."

Munch* Munch*

The flow of our conversation was broken by the sound of someone munching on some snacks while drinking a can of cola. Turning around, we noticed that Mikasa had already declared my room as her territory.

"What?" Mikasa asked, looking at us.

"Where did you get that?" I asked, pointing towards the dozen of snacks that were all over the place. Trying to ignore the other side of the room, that looked like some kind of workshop.

"Oh. There was a vending machine on the road so I teleported it here. It's in the kitchen right now. By the way, it destroyed half of your kitchen." She explained.

My mouth twitched after hearing her explanation. "And what about that? As far as I can remember, there was no television in my house." I asked, pointing toward the television that was lying on the ground in various pieces. That'll certainly be hard to reassemble.

"Oh, that? Borrowed it from your neighbours since I wanted to see how the technology worked in this era and I've to say, it was disappointing. The efficiency is a mess, not to mention the quality is trash. Maybe those Spirit hunting guys will have something interesting?"

"My neighbours are supposed to be on a family trip, aren't they?" I muttered, ignoring the last part of her sentence for better mental health.

"So that's the reason why their house was empty." Mikasa did an 'Oh' in realisation.

"You stole it, didn't you?"

"I borrowed it without asking for permission. I'll place it back as it is right now, there's no point in reassembling something like this. I hope that isn't a problem." She replied before turning towards the newspaper in her hands.

'THAT'S DEFINITELY A PROBLEM.' I internally screamed. And when did you even leave this room, to begin with? Not to mention I never heard a single sound from the kitchen or when she was disassembling the television.

Feeling a headache, I turned toward Tatsuya. "Please tell me the last piece of information, Tatsuya-san."

"Ah, right." He smiled at me. "Your best friend, Sawa Yamauchi, is still alive. Well, her situation is kinda weird, she hates you a lot since you killed her and all."

Huh? What did he say?

"C-Can you please repeat that?" I hesitantly asked.

"You heard me right the first time."

"W-Where is she?" I asked again, my hands were trembling. That was just how guilty I felt for killing my best friend.

"Can't say that since the price is yet to be paid. And even if I did, you can't reach that place alone." He replied.

"What's the price?" I was ready to pay anything as long as there was even the slightest chance of saving Sawa.

"That's the catch. You have to decide how much the information is worth to you." He replied with a smile while fixing his imaginary glasses with his right hand.

"How much that information is worth to me?" I muttered, dazed. It was worth more than anything as long as I could even meet my best friend. After hearing about Sawa, the little doubt I had in my mind about the things he told me vanished, that was just how desperate I was.

"Can I think about it for a while?"

"It's not like I am running away." He shrugged his shoulders. "Just don't take too long."

Tatsuya got up from the bed before walking toward Mikasa, picking her up from the couch, he said. "Well, since we're free, let's go and see this world."

I turned towards the clock and noticed something, it was almost time for me to go to school. I want to go there personally since it's my first day. I'll probably swap with a clone after that.

"Tatsuya-san, Mikasa-san, I have to attend school, I'll be back soon, can you guys stay here in the meantime?" I asked, it'll be rude to let them go on their own. And looking at the mess Mikasa made within an hour, it'll disastrous to leave her alone.

Surprisingly, they both exchanged glances before nodding in unison.

"We'll stay here so be back quick, okay?" Mikasa said with a nice smile. But for some reason, I was having a bad feeling.

Still, I decided to trust them before leaving.

---

"Good morning, everyone. Guess what? We have a transfer student joining our class."

Standing outside the class, I heard the teacher greeting everyone.

"All right, you can come in." Hearing the teacher's words, I opened the door before entering the class.

Walking near the teacher, I picked up the chalk before writing my name on the board.

After I was done writing my name, I turned toward the class before greeting them with a smile. "My name is Tokisaki Kurumi."

I looked at the blue-haired boy who was resting his head in his palm, barely holding back from just killing him.

"I am a Spirit." I said with the same smile before the door opened again as an old man with glasses came toward the teacher and whispered something in her ear. After he was done, he left while closing the door.

"Coincidentally, we have two more transfer students that'll be joining us from today." The teacher said with an awkward smile.

"Huh? Two more?"

"Was it always this easy to get admission here?"

The class was in an uproar thanks to the sudden notice. But for some reason, the bad feeling I had was increasing every second.

"All right, you guys can come in." The teacher said as the door opened again.

Two students entered the class. A boy and a girl.

The girl had a beautiful face with long, black hair tied in a ponytail. She was tall, at least 13 centimetres taller than I am. And the boy next to her had a handsome face with sharp features. His left eye was covered with bangs, much like mine. He was even taller than the girl by around 4 or 5 centimetres.

I didn't react much to their sudden appearance. But I was shouting inside.

'WHY ARE YOU TWO HERE?' Aren't they supposed to be in my apartment? Doing whatever people from different worlds are supposed to do?

They both wrote their names on the board before turning toward the class.

"My name is Shiba Tatsuya, let's get along." He said with a mocking smile.

"I am Mikasa." She didn't say anything much. Her eyes roamed throughout the classroom before stopping on the three students sitting at the back of the class. It was Shido along with the white-haired girl that worked for AST along with the black-haired Spirit, whose name was Tohka if I am not wrong.

"Our job is to hunt spirits." Mikasa said with a charming smile, which made Shido flinch as those words were directed toward their group.

'What the heck are you two doing?' I almost cried out loud after hearing Mikasa's words.

"W-Well, I guess everyone gives out a unique introduction these days. Now, are there any empty seats?"

"Sensei, there happen to be three empty seats at the back." Tatsuya replied, pointing at the back where Shido and his group were sitting. And guess what? There were exactly three seats which I am quite sure weren't there a few moments ago. Even Shido and the two girls with him were surprised.

"I wonder why they are here?" The teacher muttered in confusion. "Anyway, you guys can sit there."

All three of us went to our seats. And it was the first time I missed home so much.

A/N-

So the consciousness stuff wasn't complete nonsense. Mio did use her 'love' to create the Crystals that create Spirits.

Idk what am I even doing, giving every character so much screentime and POV's. The novel was extremely fast-paced when it started and now we are taking our time to explain the characters. What happened to me?

Anyway, I never read Date A Live light novel so some stuff might be out of place.

Author Tales- So my friend told me that his ex-gf recommended him Metamorphosis. I tried to stop him but he wasn't listening so I did what I felt was best for him. I recommended him Boku No Pico saying that it'll cure the scars Metamorphosis left. I am a nice friend, aren't I?

Fun Fact- Solo Leveling is getting an Anime adaptation let's go!!!!!!!!!!!!

Random Numbers Recommendations- 216374(it's an Irregular anime doujin don't worry.)
