Primitive Life

This is the year 103.72 millionth year of the Earth's calendar.

"Primitive life formation detected."

Joseph finally received the notification from the guide.

The great miracle, once again, is repeating itself on Earth.

.......

The ocean, worthy of the name, is the cradle of life.

It is the slightest and weakest of the most primitive life. It is the first life on earth.

Joseph's eyes have emerged with this simple single-celled organism.

It was a bacterium, wrapped in an outer membrane and lined with extremely simple genetic material.

It already possessed the consciousness of wanting to actively absorb other organic matter in the ocean to fill itself up.

It instinctively tends toward warmer seas to get energy.

Unfortunately, it did not absorb enough organic matter to split, and it "survived" for sixteen seconds.

Joseph decided to give a name to the first life, whose appearance meant that the primitive Earth was now beginning to take a different path.

"Let's call it Beginner." Joseph thought about it and said so.

The Beginner was the beginning of everything. It survived for sixteen seconds and then died, but it unveiled the prologue and life was about to begin to explode.

Joseph's heart was unspeakably emotional. This was, after all, another birth of life that had taken only three million seven hundred and twenty thousand years.

Perhaps, perhaps not.

The Beginner should have been recorded; it was magnified infinitely and engraved by the guide on the top of Mount Olympus.

From this moment on, Genesis is over. Joseph thought, "From now on, it's the newborn era!"

After the death of Beginner, more and more simple-structured beings similar to it began to appear, so that similar beings were named Beginner.

In the early 10,000 years of the Neogene, the simple life Beginner had taken over the entire primitive ocean.

Even though their average survival time was very short, only fourteen seconds, they had enough time to find "food" and reproduce themselves once, or even twice.

This is a sense of reproduction, albeit very low.

The reason they can do so, naturally, is because the ocean does not lack food, which is also a credit to Joseph.

The ocean here has organic matter as well as energy that far exceeds that of the outside earth, and Beginner does not have to spend time searching for food at all.

Joseph was satisfied with the current situation, and once the primitive life was available, he could inject the program.

Even if Joseph injected the program, it might not be saved.

In this case, the Earth's approach relies on time to slowly birth eukaryotes.

"Scan for the strongest Beginner in the ocean and inject the original program!"

The program, if run to a certain point, could express itself as intelligence and thus give birth to civilization. Joseph was not about to let the Beginner produce intelligence now, but to give them the seeds of intelligence.

"Command successful!"

The introducer finished everything and a huge Beginner, three times bigger than the other Beginners, appeared in Joseph's mind.

It possessed a longer lifespan, about thirty seconds, and it had just been born.

"Inject the original program." Joseph gave the command, Beginner's life span was short; the injection program must be completed as soon as possible.

"Command successful! Start injecting the program!"

An extremely thin light carrying the original program penetrated the ocean and was injected into the most powerful being on the planet now.

It didn't notice anything. It was still eating food non-stop. The area it was in was so full of food that it didn't need to move at all. It just ate.

Thirty seconds later, it stopped moving, reaching its limit and, naturally, death.

This Beginner, injected with the original program by Joseph, lived up to the expectations and completed three splits in thirty seconds, which meant that three Beginners with the original program were born.

With the original program, they were naturally different from other Beginners, and Joseph decided to give them another name.

"Let's call them Seconders."

B means two, which is even the second type of life evolved from Beginner.

"Scan Seconder," Joseph continued, the command to the boot.

"Command successful... Current Seconder count: 3, with 56.14%, 32.15%, and 9.81% of the original program respectively!"

"The expected lifetime is 40 seconds, 37 seconds, and 33 seconds!"

"Seconder number 1 is expected to lose its program completely after fifteen generations! Number 2 is expected to lose the program completely after seven generations! No. 3 is expected to lose its program completely after three generations! "

The three Seconders are the splitting products of different periods of the original Seconder, which also correspond to its youth, middle age, and old age, respectively.

With the simple structure of the Seconder, it is certainly unrealistic to try to retain the complete program during the split, but the rate of program loss still frustrates Joseph.

"If the program is lost, Seconder will be back to Beginner after a few generations," Joseph thought. "What should be done to solve the program loss problem?"

Joseph frowned and thought, This is really a test for him. If the program on him is good enough, he can find a solution.

At such a time of facing a choice, the booter would not do any interference. The programmer's purpose was to see the program excellence of the sample.

....

A great man once said that practice is the only test of truth.

After months of thinking on Mount Olympus and still not having a clue, Joseph decided to start experimenting.

Seconder's lifespan was too short. The primordial Seconder had long since been annihilated and assimilated into the Beginner by the time Joseph returned to Olympus.

"Try injecting only half of the original program," Joseph thought, perhaps because there were too many programs to fully replicate.

"Command successful! Start injecting!"

....

Second, even if it was only 50% of the original program, it still didn't bring the slightest change to Seconder, and no matter what percentage of the program, it would still disappear completely in fifteen generations or something.

This experiment has failed.

"Can we only wait for eukaryotes to arise?"

I'm afraid if I had to wait for Beginner to evolve naturally, the time it would take would be too long for Joseph to accept.

"Maybe I should make the natural evolution of Beginner faster!"

"But if we don't rely on time, how are we going to speed it up?"

Using the environment? I can only control the environment right now. "

.......

The Cenozoic Era is 2,500 years old.

Joseph spent months on Mount Olympus, thinking of countless options and finally making his decision.

Darwin proposed the origin of species and the law of the jungle, which are known to everyone.

There was no law of the jungle in the primitive ocean, which was the most fatal flaw because of the endless energy as well as food available.

Beginners do not need to compete, and they do not need to move. They automatically have food incorporated into their bodies.

They have spent 250,000 years without competition, without the slightest sense of wanting to change.

"Let's destroy, and hope Seconder will be born out of Beginner's destruction."

Joseph sighed, he was going to destroy the world again.
