Trapped in his head

The moment Caleb pulled his car into the parking lot of the school, he slipped out of the door hastily. running into the arms of his man, burying his head deep in the crook of Hayden's neck.

"God! I missed you!" Caleb mumbles on his neck, hands wrapping tightly around the middle of Hayden's torso.

"I missed you, too," Hayden confesses, face brushing on Caleb's smooth blonde hair, drowning in the smell of the citrus shampoo he constantly uses on his it.

Caleb gazes up to Hayden, holding his gaze, leaning in, Hayden meeting him halfway, kissing slowly. His left hand gripped Caleb's jaw gently as he continued to devour his warm lips in his mouth.

"Guys, sorry to interrupt, but get a room seriously!" Juan lets out with a shit-eating grin on his face, pushing his bag further over his shoulder as he walked over to them.

Caleb just rolled his eyes at him before putting his head back on Hayden's shoulder, closing his eyes and refusing to let go of Him just yet, Hayden chuckled softly, planting a kiss on Caleb's hair.

"Well, you losers stay here then, I'm going to the class." with that Juan leaves those love sick puppies on their own and strolls towards the school building.

"Juan?"

He stopped on his track when he heard that familiar deep voice calling his name. The way his name sounds when it slips out of Alex's mouth made his stomach flip flop. He cursed under his breath before turning around with a sheepish smile on his lips.

Alex walks toward him from where he was standing with the three other guys near the lockers in the hallway.

"Hey!" Alex greets him, a soft smile tugging at his rosy lips as his blue eyes gaze down at Juan, his raven locks hanging down his pale forehead fluffily, the black turtle neck sweater he had worn with the black joggers making him look hot as hell even though his face was kinda cute, and all of this is making it hard for Juan to open his mouth and greet him back.

"...Hey" gulping down the lump in his throat Juan finally greeted him back, memories of yesterday rushing back to his head making him incapable to look Alex in the eye. He tugged his hair strand behind his ear bashfully.

"You are on your own today too? we can sit together in the maths class, then. what you think?" Alex asked, eyebrows arched up in a questioning way as he chews on his bottom lip, hands hushing up inside his pocket.

"you always seem to bite down on your lip like that, is that a habit of yours?" Juan asked before realizing what he is really asking, his head tilting to the side a little, fingers pointing at Alex's lips with an amused expression on his face.

"Huh?" Alex looked almost taken back by his question. his eyes widening a little, but it didn't even take 2 seconds for him to change his amused expression into a cocky one, a side of his lips pulling upwards for an annoyingly glorious smirk.

And Juan literally wanna murder himself.

"oh, that," He pushes back his hair strands out of his eyes, "Maybe it was a habit of mine." He mumbles, his tongue darting out to lick his bottom lip before worrying it in his mouth. very intentionally.

Juan stood there voiceless, eyes wide, nails digging into his palms as he gazed at Alex. he didn't know why is he embarrassing himself like this. It's not like this is the 1st time he did this. He had this urge to run away from here and curled up in a corner. he cursed himself in his head.

"Well, you didn't say anything about us sitting in maths class togeth—" before Alex could finish his words, he was interrupted by a girl with long blonde hair launching toward him. "ALEX!" Her pricking voice almost made Juan flinch away, he peeked at her face as she glared at Alex, and that's when he realized who she really was. the girl who's standing before him is none other than the girl who has kissed Alex in the parking lot, days before. Juan frowned at the memory.

"Why didn't you show up at my home this morning? why did you leave me hanging like that?" She asked, tone stiffening. her dark brown orbs piercing through Alex's blue ones.

"Zoe, I'm so sorry—" The girl didn't let him finish his words just like before, "But you didn't look like you're sorry, though!! what exactly are you doing here?" She glance at Juan who was standing frozen in the place, Her face was red from outrage, "who is this guy?" the girl, Zoe, asked as she glared at Juan. "He's my friend," Alex was quick to respond.

"But I didn't know you have a friend like this." like what? Juan wants to ask that loud but he can't open his mouth, standing there dumbfounded.

"He's my new friend."

"New friend? when did you start making new friends? I thought you were sick of people." she laughed, throwing her head back as if Alex said some kind of joke, sarcasm dripping through her words.

"Zoe—" She cut him off again, "Tell me, Alex, is talking to this guy more interesting than picking up your girlfriend on your way to school and spending some time together?" She asked, fingers indicating at Juan. her face hardening.

Girlfriend?

'Alex had a girlfriend. what the hell am I doing here?' Juan asked himself in his head.

Now, He had enough." Alex, I'm getting late for the class, see you around!" he said with a tight smile on his lips, Alex didn't say anything as Juan walked away.

"Alex had a Girlfriend!"

"Juan, I get it, okay?" Caleb huffed, "now stop saying it over and over!" his voice pierce through the silence of the library.

"But I didn't know! I didn't know he had a girlfriend." Juan mumbled while rubbing his face as he leaned back on his chair.

"But you saw them kissing in the parking lot before, right?"

"that I did, but I didn't know it was his girlfriend, you know?"

"Hey, that's fine, it's not like you've anything to do with him. just leave it." Juan just stared at him, face neutral. and then he looked down at the book in front of him, glaring down at it as if it had just kicked him on the face before sliding it to the side and laying his head on the desk.

"Say something" Caleb got impatient when Juan just lay there in silence. Caleb's hands reached to push back Juan's light brown curls hanging over his eyes.

"You didn't want to hear want I wanted to share." He says, lifting his head a little.

"It's not like that, Juan."

"it's not like what? you clearly seem uninterested."

"you know what, if Alex has a girlfriend, it's fine. you don't have to be upset like this." He said eyebrows creasing in concern.

"I said I had a crush on him, didn't I? And it's hurt. it's the 1st time in my 17 years of life I had been interested in someone! and that someone has a girlfriend!" Juan retorted, running his fingers through his locks uneasily.

"Okay, but let me tell you, This Alex is clearly into girls, GIRLS. It's not like I want to be harsh, but this is the truth. it's just a crush, yea? it'll go away before you know." Juan didn't say anything, he just didn't feel like talking...

Caught up somewhere between wanting to forget and wanting to hold on.
