The three snipers

"Anastasia–!" Nicolas screamed but Saria had him behind his collar and drew him back into the cabin doorway just in time as the second shot boomed.

In the collapse backwards Nic flinched at the spatter of splintering wood which motivated his retreat and he rolled over accidentally landing right on top of Saria.

"Get off!" She yelled pushing him sideways and kicked the door shut "Stay down! Don't go close to the windows!"

Nicolas was about to get up but her words made him dive to the floor and press his body against a wall.

Saria did the same and there they remained listening, the thunder roll of the rifle that fired was heard echoing in the distance but then silence followed, Nicolas heard his beating organ thump his ears.

"Shit! They hit her right in the heart!" He said.

"She won't die! She's immortal remember! But if either one of us gets fed a led pill its over, so stay down!"

"We have to get to her!"
