A Misunderstanding

Atticus' POV:

I looked at Eloise. She looked up at me too, but her expression was not what I wanted.

If she didn't care about anything, then I'd lost.

I had to admit that I had the will to want to live. This made me look much worse than her.

"So we can do it now. The earlier this is over, the better it is for both of us." She seemed to feel relieved and quickly answered me.

"But, we had an unsuccessful marriage before." I looked at her and tried to find other emotions in her expression, but she just looked at her phone calmly.

"This might affect our judgment. Don't misunderstand. This is a kind reminder, not some threat."

"I won't bug you. I've never been like this from the beginning. I know you like Lisa, and that was an accident," she said casually, not bothering to raise her head.

"If you think I was the one who caused that car accident, then I can't do anything about it. I won't prove myself for this matter."
