Cohabiting

Eloise's POV:

Due to the agreement, I must stay in the same suite as Atticus. The only good thing was that we lived in different rooms.

Even though I still felt uncomfortable at this distance, he didn't seem to mind. And he acted so naturally as if I didn't exist.

I fell asleep very quickly. When I woke up again, I heard him coughing.

I opened my eyes. Atticus appeared and pushed his tablet to my face. I realized that I didn't lock the door last night.

"Take a look at it, and then get up," he said to me, then pulled a chair and sat by the bed.

"You should knock," I muttered as I leaned against the bed slowly. I have to admit that I did sleep better here.

"I've paid for the room, so it's nothing."

I couldn't refute him when he said that. So I could only lower my head and continue reading the computer's contents.
