Needle In The Flesh

Rumors spread so quickly. The king changed, the king became more confident, and the king had eyes that did not tremble. 

"Is the king experiencing pain?" 

Other rumors say that the king is sick, so he did many things that contradicted his habits first.

Those who secretly dislike the change of King Vincent become more cautious because the changes can be dangerous for them. 

"This report is chaotic. How can the Stone palace not be well maintained?"

Vincent looked at the man in front of him. He was a perfect man. His face looked thrilled with a little long hair.

"it's because the previous king didn't give funds to take care of it, King Vincent." 

Liam's calm answer made Vincent press his forehead. 

They usually use the Stone palace as a residence for knights when the knight festival is taking place. Outside of that time, only high-status official knights occupy it. 

Vincent should have asked Newt too, because Newt was one knight who lived there. 

If he ignored just because he considered the residence to be strict, it could make the knights not put their hearts on Vincent. And this is not a trivial matter. 

"How can my father not give any more funds to take care of the Stone palace?" asked Vincent to Liam, whose expression had not changed since just now. 

"Three years ago after the festival ended, at the meeting they decided that it would cut funding for the affairs of the stone palace, because there was a natural disaster."

Vincent dug into his memory, and he remembered the violent opposition of the time. Indeed, the pruning occurred because of the catastrophic flood that destroyed all wheat and potato fields.

"Okay. Then why is it that now the funding has stopped?" asked Vincent firmly. 

Liam kept staring straight. He looked unafraid to face the number one in this kingdom. 

"Because the king finally stopped it." 

Liam's explanation explained everything. Vincent didn't expect that his father would behave like this kind of ignorant king. 

Those who protect the kingdom should get attention that cannot be ignored.

"Use 100 pieces of gold to make the stone palace workable, and 100 pieces to entertain the knights. Give them the best and nutritious food." 

Finally, Liam's expression changed after hearing Vincent's remarks. He didn't expect that Vincent would use enough money just for the sake of the knights, who had been ignored for several years.

"You are serious, King Vincent?" Liam asked once more because he was surprised by what he had just heard. 

"Yes, if there is anything less immediately tell me everything." 

Vincent arranged Liam with a straight look. Liam is a government manager, he's a talented man. His expression was calm and acted according to the direction that led. He is 33 years old, and still single. His skill is accurate calculations, and not only that, he has a great poker face.

"Well. I will carry out your orders, King Vincent." 

Liam lowered his head. After delivering his greetings, Liam walked out of the room to run his king's passage. This year there will be a lot of changes. 

The rumors he had with a few days ago were not just rumors. It was a tumor that made a small smile appear on his face.

Vincent was eating snacks with Lily. A colorful cake with a sweet fragrance was in front of them. 

In front of each of them was a reddish-colored tea flavored from the dried Flower group. The flower is like a rose, but it is hard-splattered. 

"What about learning, Lily?" asked Vincent. 

"Everything is fine." 

Lily replied, but Vincent was uncomfortable with Lily's attitude, which she found strange. 

"Aren't you lying, Lily?" 

Lily finally looked at Vincent. She pursed her lips slightly before speaking. Then a smile appeared on Lily's face. 

"Yes, continuing to learn a lot of things makes my head hurt."

Her smile made me smile too. It is true what Lily said, although she likes to learn but sometimes she also experiences learning pressure and feels bored. Just taking a short play the game, that's what he did before learning again if he was bored. 

"Soon the knight festival. All those lessons will be off by then." Vincent gave Lily a sweet smile, and he didn't expect that his remarks would make Lily so happy. 

One more week, and preparing the festival that Vincent thinks a lot lacks, is being worked on giving it its best.

"How about it, Clark?" 

Clark looked at Vincent. His sharp eyes were calm. 

"My king, you shouldn't go down directly to deal with these lowly rats."

Clark made his sword touch the ground, letting the blood attached to his sword flow down.

"No, seeing their rotten faces is a must." Vincent's voice was bitter. He stared at the pool of blood in front of him calmly. 

A sharp look that Clark had never felt. The king has really changed.

 Yesterday he got a report about the registration money collection and the deduction of prize money. The deduction will not happen to elite knights, and knights who come from nobles. They were afraid to face the knights who came from there. Instead, they suppressed the knights who came from non-knight families. 

Vincent asks Clark to investigate, and he discovers that they have been living in a part of the kingdom that makes Clark sick. 

In the middle of that forest, their bodies that were bound and dragged by Clark finally suffered a death tragically. They got a sword slash repeatedly and eventually died with their heads severed by Clark's sword.

"Investigate something like this again. Don't let this incident appear and look for what's left."

Vincent rode his horse, he gave a menacing glare. 

"Of course, King Vincent."

Clark caught up with Vincent and left the corpse just so that it was eaten by the beast.
