The chirping of the birds above. The slashes of the water. Are the only sounds she could heard. But it's good rather than to have almost deafening silence. Especially like of her, who is accustomed to noisy surroundings. She was eager to reach the stream. Before sunrise when she left the mansion. Gadel was still sound is asleep at such times so she left alone. She has no plans to take a bath. But she was tempted to go down into the cold water. After she tied up Stag to the tree, the horse she had taken from the stable. From there on the top of the big rock she saw the tranquil flow of water. So relaxing to see that made her right while sitting at ease.
'Huh!' her sighed sound coming out of her deep breath.
She slowly stepped down to the stream water. There were noise she heard, footsteps of a running horse getting closer to the stream. She turned her head left and right trying to know from whom the sound came from.
And suddenly got nervous too. But then calmed abruptly as when she saw that it was the caretaker of his grandfather Rafael's stable.
"Don Rafael is looking for you."
She no loner asked why. All she knew was Don Rafael was the king at Hacienda Mondragon. Whoever obeys his commands.
"I'll be coming next to you," Zav replied.
"He strictly said you need to come now."
The steward of the stable turned away. She heard it right, the word now. She stood up from the water with having her clothes wet. The beautiful shape of her body could not be hidden. It was annoying for her that she woke up early to go to that place. But she was just ordered to go back to the mansion right away. She looked around while walking going to the tree where she tied up Stag. There was something strange that she felt around. Maybe there were eyes looking at her. Though she wasn't sure but why did she's thinking that. Quickly she move forward to the tree where she tied Stag. Her clothes were soaking wet that she climbed up on the horse's back. She knew as before, there were no bad people around the place. The place l belonged to Hacienda Mondragon. There were few number of households not far away from the stream Those who lived in the near area are Mondragons workers. O one would dare to hurt her.
"Hah!"
A woman shouted. Nearly to come closer to her. Riding on a horse too.
No need to guess who. Her eyes knew it well. Especially its voice was still familiar to her ears.
"You are too early here. It's like I already knew why."
It seemed like something more sarcastic was being said to her. Zaviah sighed at the woman she did not expect to come.
"What do you know Silva?"
"Is it Miguel that you expect to come or pass by here?"
She was immediately annoyed. That's how quickly her day was ruined. Of all the people she could talk to, it was Silva in front of her speaking. The female demon in his sight ever since.
"You are the most stupid fortune teller that I have ever met."
If I were you. I'd be careful what I am talking. You don't seem to be alone. Your tongue is too sharp."
She has nothing good to say to the person she hated most. So bitter words immediately it heard from her. She doesn't care anymore. It didn't do her any good either. She isn't been recognized as Mondragon. If she hadn't just escaped then her earthly body would probably have been devoured by worms. She has been buried in the ground for a long time and no one knows that she is dead.
"Well she's not alone, Silva."
She also did not expect the sudden appearance of the man. It's like a mushroom that just pops up. That's why she felt something strange around. Her human instinct was telling that Miguel was just watching over her.
Zaviah couldn't understand how she felt those moments. Whether she was happy to see Miguel or disgusted. She was happy to know that the man she once married was secretly following her. Annoyed because Silva was there, like a villain trying to join the scene and made the destruction of the episode. She chose not to speak. She just turned Stag's lace rope instead. And just leaves the people she doesn't want to talk. She tightened the grip on Stag's reins so the horse runs fast. Didn't she even look at the two before she could get away far.
"Good morning grandma," she greeted her grandmother Donya Trinidad.
"Good morning too. Why you are wet Zav. You took a bath too early. You might get sick."
Zaviah just smiled after she kissed her grandmother's cheek. She would not explain what happened why she was wet. Even though she was holding in her other hand a towel and clothes tucked in a small bag. Donya Trinidad also guessed that he came from the stream. Thankfully it never asked again. She was just been told to change into dry clothes.
"All right grandma, I'll do it. I'll go to grandpa after changing. He wants to talk to me."
She saw her mother Cynthia. It never asked her where she has been. She walked straight to their room. But there at the door Don Rafael is standing.
"Good thing you didn't stay long in the stream. I woke up earlier too, I immediately checked all of you. But you're not here anymore. Gadel was still sleeping tight and sound."
Her forehead furrowed. She asked herself what kind of wind had brought hid grandfather to deliberately checked them by himself.
I thought my son might wake up without me. He will cry if he doesn't see me right away," she lied in response.
If it wasn't for what the caretaker said, she might take a few hours. And if the people she didn't want to see weren't there, she might take a little longer there swimming alone.
Get ready and your son. Let's have breakfast together. We have a guest to eat with," Don Rafael told her.
Then Don Rafael turned its back after talking. It didn't even wait her to answer. So she was left standing and following the gaze while frowning.
'He's going to tell me something, isn't he. Is that so?'
She asked to herself. And she entered to the room to checked her son. Her son is still in his good sleep. And she noticed that it has big resemblance to his father. Suddenly she remembered Miguel. She felt like she missed something. But she cut off everything that was on her mind. She had to get dressed because her body was still wet of the stream water. So she immediately go to take final shower as she handed the bath towel.
