Prologue

The beeping of different machines was heard and the smell of antiseptic was mixed in air .

There stood he watching his family talking to a girl whose head was covered in bandage.

Her face had many emotions , some times it was of shock , sometimes it was realisation , sometimes it was full of pain .

Pain , the reaction she gave after seeing him .

Pain which he felt at the moment when she denied to recognise him .

His destiny was playing with him , he really felt that , first he got her in his life which he didn't wanted , then he left her thinking he will be free but his heart didn't let him and at last when he thought everything was perfect then she was taken from him .

He was happy to see her fine , he was afraid in start but looking at her smiling face he gathered all his courage and accepted to give his destiny another try , but his destiny really wanted to play with him , the one who gave him strength , the one whom he loved more than himself , the one was was life forgot him .

"Who is he ?"

Those were the words which were ringing in his ears from last half an hour .

"Yuvaan , i am really sorry ."

His thoughts were broken by voice of his sister-in-law , Abha. Hearing her voice he looked at her.

"Why are you saying sorry bhabhi (sister-in-law)?" He asked .

"I am sorry , i forced you to do this and now she is not recognising you ." Abha said with tears in her eyes .

"It's not your fault bhabhi , it was my destiny . You don't have to feel sad for me. " He said with a sad smile.

"I have seen you taking care of her Yuvaan, i have seen loving her more than me , i have seen her enjoying with you , i have seen her making memories with you . But i am sorry , i can't see you like this . " Abha said and broke in tears again.

"Bhabhi , i took care of her cause i wanted to , i have shown my love to her cause that is what i felt for her and i still do , i only helped her to live the life she was missing due to fear of other and memories , i am glad that atleast i have some memories with her when she forgot them . And isn't it good bhabhi , she doesn't remember anything , the pain she felt because of me , the trauma she suffered because of me . " Yuvaan said with tears in his eyes .

"Please forget that incident Yuvaan , that happened because of that Shadab , it had nothing to do with you." She said again.

"Shadab just gave idea bhabhi , it was me who implemented that , so i am that one who is at fault . And i am happy bhabhi , i really am , atleast now she is fine and she will enjoy her life like before ." Yuvaan said wiping his tears.

"Don't worry Yuvaan , give her some time , she will remember you in some days or i will myself make her ." Abha said .

"No no bhabhi , don't do that . If god wanted us to be together then he should have left even a single memory of me but he doesn't wanted that . He wanted her to be happy without me and me living with her memories so it will happen. I always wanted to return to Germany so finally i will leave with next flight , i have my flight on sunday so i will just go . " Yuvaan said and looked inside the room once again as if he wanted to absorb remaining movements of her.

"What are you saying Yuvaan , i know my Appu , she will remember you , you both love each other . And moreover you are married , even if she doesn't remember you as her prince she will know you as her husband and i am sure she will accept that . " Abha said and held his hand .

"No bhabhi , i don't want to force her again to accept me ." Yuvaan said still looking at Aparna , his Appu , who was busy talking to her brother-in-law.

"But both of you are still married Yuvaan , you can't just leave her like that ." He heard another voice which belonged to his mother Reeta .

"It's not like everyone knows about our marriage , it was on papers and she was not in her right mind so it will be n-nullified by law or i-i will d-divorce her." He said , the pain was clearly visible on his face when he said the last words.

"Are you out of your mind , have you heard the rubbish you are talking Yuvaan. " Abha exclaimed .

"I am right bhabhi , haven't you heard Dr. Smith , she will die if we tried to bring her memory back and specially about me , if i will come in front of her i will loose her forever bhabhi . Without me at least she will be happily alive ." Yuvaan said while controlling his tears .

"And what about you ?" Reeta asked.

"What about me Ma , i will spend my life with her memories ." He said and left from there.

"Oh god , what do you want from my children , why can't they all be happy at the same time ." Reeta said while looking towards the sky trying to talk to god .
