Trapped - Chapter 5

"Here you go”. Avril said as she handed the towel to Eli.

Eli was about to get it when she slowly dropped it in the muddy field where they were staying because they had a soccer game. Eli looked at her with a blank expression and slowly stood up to face Avril.

“Oops”, Avril said, then smiled sarcastically in front of Denise's face.

Denise continued staring at her blankly. While Avril started to laugh ironically. There are now lots of students that surround them. Avril is known for being such a great bully, and most of the students in their campus are frightened to even have eye contact with her.

Since most of the students have the same time in their PE class, there are lots of them in the field, so as soon as they heard that Denise and Avril were having an argument they immediately went to where they are and started to watch the sudden circumstance.

“Look at you, such a pity”. Avril said ironically while teasing Eli.

Eli continued to stare at her and didn't give any words. The whole surrounding is full of boo-ing.

Celestine is just watching because Eli doesn't want her to be involved in situations like this. She even told her before that no matter what happens as well as no matter how things go worst, don’t go near her.

“Look, our classmates as well as other students are watching us”. Avril whispers in Eli’s ear. That makes the crowd even more loud.

“Hmm”. Eli mumbled as she leaned towards Avril.

The crowd gasped because of what they saw. However some of the students were recording the actual scene. Eli was roaming her eyes then she stopped to see some of the students who were holding their phones. She looked into their eyes, and a few seconds later, they accidentally dropped their phones as well as zoned out. Some of the students were already frightened that’s why they decided to leave, while some stayed.

Eli’s aura suddenly changed, she looked like the weakest student in their campus, so the other students started laughing at her.

“Oh so you’re now trying to be weak so that people will go on your side?”. Avril utters and laughs sarcastically.

“It’s not that I wanted them to be on my side”. Eli said in a calm voice, then stood up straight.

“Oh, so you also know how to talk back?” Avril said irritable.

“Who said I don’t know how to talk back?” Eli asked, then stared at Avril’s eyes.

Avril slowly moves backwards when Eli starts to move in front of her. She continued staring at her while Avril looked away from her deadly glares.

Some of the students gasped because of what they were watching. Avril smirked and stopped in front of Eli. Eli didn’t say anything, but as for the looks as well as actions of Avril, she’s trembling in fear, her hands were slightly shaking. Eli noticed her hands, so Avril immediately hid it behind her back then shut her mouth.

“You’re acting tough huh, Miss #1 Bully”. Eli said in a sarcastic voice.

Avril was too stunned to speak when Eli walked around her, she wasn’t able to move, even in a single inch. Eli once again looked into Avril’s hazel color eyes, and for a moment she calmed down, but as her body calmed down, she zoned out, lost consciousness that caused her body to lose balance and fell on the ground.

The crowd was alerted by the sudden incident, Avril’s friends immediately go to her and try to wake her up, but she seems to be like a sleeping beauty. Since she’s not responding as well as reacting to her friends' voices they even got so worried, so one of her guy friends decided to lift and carry her like a bride. Some of Avril’s friends glared at Eli, however Eli remained silent and continued looking at her with her innocent face.

“What did you do to our friend?”. Kia said in an infuriated voice, while staring deadly at Eli.

“Shh Kia calm down, Avril will be fine”. Penelope said while holding Kia who is now approaching Eli in a rude way.

“How am I supposed to calm down, look what she did to our friend, can’t you see it?” Kia said irritated as she’s also trying to calm down herself, and there are still lots of students watching them.

“Shh relax, I understand you. But not at this place, there are still lots of students here. We might get into big trouble, if we still fight with her”. Penelope explained carefully to Kia.

Kia looked at Eli while Penelope was saying those words to her. She immediately understood it as well as looked around the place. There are still a lot of students watching the scene, and some are still recording as well as some are taking pictures. Kia once again looked at Eli, who is now looking at them.

Kia stood up and fixed herself.

“We’ll be back”. She said and walked away together with her friends.

“Aw” the students said.

The students started to walk away with an unexplainable expression on their faces, because they hadn't seen an actual fight with the two famous girls.

“What's happening here?” Their PE teacher asked in confusion because she saw the students earlier gathering at their place.

“Ah nothing ma’am, we’re just having some games for fun”. Celestine said in a calm voice so that their teacher will not be suspicious.

“Is that so?” She asked, confused.

Celestine nods in response to her teacher. She seemed to believe that excuse so she started walking around to continue the conversation about their class.

“Is Miss Eli okay?” She asked while walking towards Eli’s direction.

“You look so pale, what happened to you?” She continued asking with a worried expression.

“She hasn't had enough sleep these past few days, so she’s looking pale”. Celestine answered for Eli.

The teachers and other school faculties and staff were having a general discussion while their students are on break, so at least then they can savor their time to enjoy as well as relax for a while, because midterm examinations are fast approaching.

While on board, Miss Cindy Miller, the PE teacher of the class E where Eli and Celestine are. She saw the students that were gathering at their spot all of a sudden, she watched as well as looked at them for a moment to distinguish if there might be something wrong happening about the students.

Their meeting continues but her mind as well as attention is on her students down the field, as the short period of time passes the more students gather.

She gasped as well as her eyes widened as she saw some students taking out their phones. The staff around her were shocked by her sudden behavior so she remained calm again. She tried to focus her attention on their discussion but she always caught a glimpse of students going in the direction of her class.

Miss Miller decided to stand up as she saw one of her students lose consciousness and loss control of their body balance.

“Excuse, I’ll be going to the comfort room for a while”. She immediately said as she fastly walked outside the room.

Sweat started to run down from her face, her hands were trembling and shaking of so much fear and concern for her students.

Miss Miller is such a nice young woman who cared so much for her family, friends, students as well as colleagues, so she is getting abused by her kindness. Almost all of the faculty members used her kindness to ruin her and be kicked out of the school, however she does this because she has motives and plans to do so.

As she gently runs along the hallway, a small smirk appears on her lips. And it immediately vanished when she saw a student in the corridor.

“Hi teacher Miller, you're in such a hurry?”. they asked.

“I’m going to my class, I’ll just announce some important matter to them” She said in a calm voice.

“Is that so? then be careful running ma’am, it’s quite dangerous running here”. They said and walked away.

Miss Miller didn’t give that much attention to what they were saying and slowly walked down the stairs. The general meeting was held on the third floor of the school building and there are still lots of rooms to pass by.

As she walked by she felt that something was wrong, as if something or someone was looking at her, looking at every second of her movements, but it didn’t bother her that much, she continued walking until she reached the ground floor.

There are lots of students everywhere, because it is their break time as well as their teachers are in a meeting, so they’re able to do such things. Miss Miller passed by the cafeteria, and she saw some of her students there, she passed by them slowly without even getting noticed. She immediately got their attention when they talked about the incident that’s happening on the field at the moment.

“It’s been months since our class started, but still I don’t know much more about Eli”.

“Yeah me too”.

“We all know that she’s somehow famous here, but at the same time a mysterious type of girl”.

“But guess what’s happening at the field”.

“Ahh saw it earlier, but it’s such a waste of time watching them”.

“Who?”

“Eli and Avril”

Miss Miller stopped walking when she heard the two students’ names. She continued listening to what they talking about so that she’s aware of what is happening at the field.

“What’s happening to them?”

“You know Avril, she’s such a bully. And you also know Eli, she doesn’t give any attention to whoever is around her, except her best friend Celestine”.

“So Avril was the one who started the argument, and Eli’s just looking at her blankly”.

“You know Eli, there’s something anomalous about her eyes that I can’t never explain”

“I also heard about that thing, whenever someone stares at her eyes, they lose consciousness as well as zone out like what is happening to her sometimes”.

“I noticed it too, but I will never dare to stare at her eyes”

“She may be beautiful, yes I admit. However she’s confusing”

They continued talking to each other, and Miss Miller decided to go straight ahead to the field. As she walks she passes by random students who are talking about the incident at the field, so she went their immediately as fast as she can.

As she almost entered the field, the students started to walk away, individually and some were by groups along with their friends. She heard some students gasping as well as murmuring something but she can’t hear those properly because it is also noisy.

As she finally reached her students, they went silent. She immediately walks towards Eli’s direction who’s now looking pale and sweaty.

“Are you okay Miss Eli?” She asked worriedly.

“She hasn't had enough sleep these past few days, so she’s looking pale”. Eli didn’t respond so Celestine responded for her.

Miss Miller was about to pursue asking Eli about what she is feeling at the moment, but then Celestine, one of the students she hated, responded to her.

“Is that so?” she asked ironically.

Celestine nodded in response. She nodded to her student.

“Why don’t you go to the infirmary room so that you can take a rest?” Miss Miller suggested as she walks towards Eli’s direction and puts her palms on her forehead to feel if she has a fever or anything that’ll make her sick.

“Then can we excuse ourselves?” Celestine asked while slowly grabbing Eli in her teacher’s hands.

“I’ll be going with you, so that I can excuse you”. She said as she smiled forcefully.

“Okay then”

The three of them slowly headed to the infirmary room, so that Eli could take a rest. Little did they know that Miss Miller had some plans to do against Eli, that’s why she volunteered to go with them.

As they walk through the corridor, Celestine notices that their teacher is acting suspiciously because she can't look at her eyes, and she seems interested in Eli all of a sudden.

“Since we’re already here, you can go back first Celestine. And tell your classmates to go back to your classroom. I have an announcement”.

“I apologize, but I’m not leaving Eli in your hands Miss Miller”. She said confidently as if she didn’t notice her teachers actions and she even smiled at her teacher.

“Okay then, you can wait here. I can guide Eli to her bed”. Miss Miller said as she’s trying her best not to crack her voice because of so much irritation to Celestine.

Eli noticed the sudden argument, so she looked at Celestine’s eyes telling her to trust her that nothing bad could happen to her. Celestine smiled and nodded in response to her friend.

Both Eli and Miss Miller walked and headed to the bed. Eli also noticed that her teacher is acting suspiciously, so she just goes with the flow. Little did Miss Miller know that Eli knew some of her plans against her deeds.

As they walk through the bed that is close to the window, Eli acts even weaker so she can see what her teacher was supposed to do to her. As they reached the bed, Miss Miller slowly layed Eli down, Eli closed her eyes as she laid down the bed.

"I'll be back in a second". Miss Miller said immediately as she walked away.

As Miss Miller walks away and cannot be seen by her eyes, Eli gets her phone and sends Celestine a message.

"Just calm down, I'll be safe. Just wait their for a moment".

Celestine saw Miss Miller go inside the comfort room and within seconds she came out and was holding something in her hands. Miss Miller saw her and act like she doesn't have anything in her. And walks immediately to where Eli is.

"I'm back". Miss Miller said while holding a glass of water. And smiled at Eli.

Eli reaches the glass of water immediately and drinks it as fast as she can, she also knows that there's something in the water because of its color. She smiled as well as a little smirk form on her lips. Miss Miller's eyes suddenly widened but she ignored the fact that she saw the smirk on Eli's face.

Eli slowly lose consciousness and she knows this'll happen, that kind of drugs doesn't affect her that much. She's just faking everything so that she will know who's behind everything.

Eli finally falls asleep, but her ears as well as mind are wide awake.

"Master, the drugs immediately affected her". She joyfully said to the person on the other side of the call.

Eli can't hear all of their conversation but one thing is for sure, it's an old woman's voice.

"I'll update as soon as possible on how long this drugs will affect her". Miss Miller continues as she's checking Eli's body temperature and condition.

"Hmm". Eli moaned and slowly moved her hands.

Miss Miller was frightened for a moment and immediately ended the call.
