Caroline

I stared in awe at the mess on the ground and back at the brown eyes that were glaring at me.

"What happened here?" I finally managed to ask and a crooked smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.

"A job for you to do!" she said sternly as she walked closer to me until her nose was about to touch mine. I backed off a little, just enough to have the carbon dioxide out at the right place and not inhale hers.

"Excuse me. What do you mean by that?" I asked with a confused look before looking back down at the innocent plant that was scattered on the ground.

"I want you to clean this or I shall speak to the authority about poor hospitality!" she said in a threat-like voice and that seems to raise some wrong hormones in me but I managed to suck it back in and not react on how I was feeling right now.

"I don't think that's my work to do. I'd just get a cleaner to do that," I said with a smile that was so obvious it didn't reach my eyes.
