"Do you have a boyfriend?" he repeated, still with a hard stare as he anticipated my response.
"Why are you so invested in what my response would be?"
He softened his stare and adjusted himself in his seat before answering. "It's only fair if you answered me. I gave you a response without stuttering,"
"No. I do not have a boyfriend," I answered and the waitress came over with our meal. She gave me a stare at the mention of boyfriend before looking back to placing the dishes on the table.
I have been getting suspicious stares and murmurs from the waitress. To be fair, I was so used to anything of such but this time seems to be different.
"Thank you," Richard said and she smiled sheepishly at him as she tucked her hair behind her ear before looking at me with a straight face as though she didn't just smile now.
I scoffed softly at her reaction and turned back to watch as she walked away.
