I kissed Alex on his forehead as he grunted and turned in bed, curling well under his duvet.
The splattering sound of the rain hit the roof in a noisy way that resonated throughout the room.
I was cold and so was my son. I stroked his hair as he adjusted well under the duvet. I kissed his forehead again before finally standing. I switched off the light in his room before walking out.
I walked to the window in the living room, peeking outside as the rain splashed its residue on the ground. I looked around as if I was looking for something where of course, I wasn't looking for anything.
I withdrew my gaze from the window side before pulling the curtain the shield the window and they switching off the light.
I retreated to my room, sighing before lying down on the bed. The breeze that hit my body was chilly, causing the goosebumps on my skin to become evident.
