I don't think I can breathe right now. I think something or someone just encroached on my breathing ability.

This is too hard for me to take in. Logan killed Max? After the justification he gave to excuse his actions, I kind of felt pity for him. Truth be told, we were jackasses, but then, Max did nothing wrong. Death could have taken me instead of my friend. Max doesn't deserve that; he just wants to survive and be happy, which his life depicts something farther from that.

I guess Max's death was a punishment for my mischief. Death feels it was too merciful to be granted to me and decided to go for people around me. What if Kareem or Daniel was the next? Wait, what if Car-? No, that can't be! Death wouldn't be so cruel to take Carol away from me. I know right, she isn't mine to profess, but then, I can't lose her either.

"So you mean, Max's death was an accidental one?" Kareem asked, downcast, drawing me out of my inner thought.
