"I didn't know we'd cross paths again, your grace? After all, we came into understanding of not seeing each other again." Cataleya said. "Or was I mistaken?"

"Cataleya-," the marquis interjected and turned to the duke. "I apologize for her misbehavior. I'm thoroughly lacking in teaching her."

"It's quite alright." The duke responded, not taking his eyes from her. "Perhaps, we might discuss more about this arrangement in Aristol. You see, I'm a busy man." 

"Ah, yes, yes." The marquis agreed, and turned to Cataleya. " You shall go with the duke and mind your manners."

Cataleya raised her brows and sighed at that.

"I want words, Cataleya." The marquis pressed.

"Yes, father. I will mind my manners in the presence of the royal grace." She couldn't even masked the sarcasm in there. The marquis sighed at that  and shook his head.

"So, after you, lady Briston." The duke gestured to the door.
