Chapter 6

"Do you know what's more pathetic than a scum?"

"Who." The governor asked.

"The one in their lead," Raoh said, smirking slightly to provoke his foe. One should always try to provoke his enemy. Losing in a battle of words was like losing momentum.

Few veins appeared on the governor's head. "You fucking slave!"

"governor… hmmm… somehow, I hate that word and everything related to the government," Raoh said. "I wonder why, though?"

"Humph." Harrumphed the Earthbender. He jumped forward. The ground shook, and a large rock was pulled out of the earth, floating. The man then seemed to control it with his hand, and he pushed forward with his arms.

Raoh knew that this rock is going to be heavy, and not easy to parry like fire. He put the sword on his back and started running to the side while tilting his upper body forward a bit, looking like a ninja while running.

'Too bad I can't use Shave with my physical level. But I'm still fast enough.'

The Earthbender kept looking at Raoh, and he threw the attack. Unfortunately, it missed him. Raoh shifted his weight and dashed forward at the bender, who smirked and moved his hand in a circle.

Because of his Observation Haki, he knew what will happen, and he rolled to the ground. The earth seemed to get soft in that area.

"I was just about to bury you underground." He said.

Raoh just smirked. "But you aren't skilled enough."

"No… I just want to cut the dirty tongue of yours."

"Yeah, but how will you face my secret technique."

"Secret technique?" the man was on guard suddenly.

Raoh smiled, and he could feel his foe getting nervous even though he didn't show that on his face.

"Run Away!"

Turning, he started running in a direction with some peaks and trees.

That place will give him an advantage since he can't be seen.

"Not on my watch." The governor got angry seeing this behaviour. Moving his arms forward gently, the earth started moving beneath him, making him chase after Raoh. Although the kid is fast, he can't be faster than him when using bending. There is a large difference between benders and normal people. Unfortunately, he soon came to realise that his foe isn't normal. He seemed to be at the peak level of what a human body can.

Raoh found himself stopping when a wall appeared between two peaks, blocking his way. He turned his head slowly and stared at the bender who is coming on his way.

He stopped twenty meters away from him.

"I'll admit it, you are too good for a slave. How about this, I'll offer you to work for our Fire Nation."

"I'm done with being a slave. So you can take your offer and shove it up to your ass."

"So, you've chosen death." He looked around. "You know, you have chosen a stupid place to run from an Earth bender to."

The terrain was surrounded by rocks and peaks. The Earthbender lifted his hands, and the peaks around him started shaking, collapsing. He then spread his arms wide open, before clapping.

A group of huge rocks headed at Raoh. Not having time to think, he dashed forward, depending only on his eyes and Haki. He jumped over the first rock as he placed his leg on his and flipped above it. Once he landed on the second one, he run forward, and bent backwards, dodging another large stone.

You know, fighting benders is scarier to see than the carton version. Raoh slid between them and was about to dash, but he found another one in front of his face, and there was no time to dodge. He swiftly adjusted his stance and held the sword with two hands.

As he slashed upward, the rock, which was as large as him split in two, and Raoh spread his arms open, pushing the two parts away from him before dashing.

The Earthbender almost didn't believe his eyes. A rock, that large, was clean-cut by a sword. Not only so, but that man was in front of him. Not finding time for what to do, he raised his hands. The earth from the ground moved, forming a rock layer above his skin.

Raoh took his stance, took a deep breath, and he started slashing against the status of the man, up and down, left and right. His slashes were so fast, so precise. Once he was done, he flipped the sword and shook it to the side, shaking the blood off it.

The man covered in rocks turned into slices that started falling. Blood fell from it and covered the ground.

Raoh stared at the ugly sight, and he muttered to himself. "This is definitely not a kid's show." Cartoons, once mixed with reality, can't be the same. You can imagine the difference between a man's getting his head crushed by a football-sized rock in the real-life and the cartoon version. The first can give you nightmares while the latter makes you see the guy die from a concussion, or lose consciousness.

Raoh looked at his hands. They weren't shaking, not all. Killing felt like second nature to himself.

Raoh looked at the sword. It was already ruined, and the blade didn't feel sharp at all.  It was a natural result of his attempt to cut something big in half.

'It's not sharp enough, not like a Katana.'

On the good side, Raoh's talents made him stronger. The battle experience wasn't wasted.

"I should do some weight training… once I get out of here." He then looked at his legs, they were skinny. "And work out this."

Although he worked out like hell this month, he hadn't enough food to supply his growth.

But this will change soon.

Now, Raoh thought about the best place to go. Surely, the people in the mines will escape, and the authorities won't let this slip. They will try hunting him, believing that he escaped like the rest of the slaves.

That's the trick, the slaves will escape outside the city, and they will chase after them.

It's better to stay here for a couple of days before making his way out. It will be safer that way.
