Chapter 13

The people were running back to their homes at this late time of the night.

Usually, they like to gamble at times like this. But the appearance of a huge number of mercenaries and bounty hunters, with some huge animals, made them feel it would be best if they went home early.

"I told you, boss. He is right there, and he doesn't have a weapon. I've seen him taking a bath at that river. After collecting info about him, I'm certain that he lives in this motel."

River Rat was standing in the lead of the large party.

He turned to one huge guy, joined his hands together, and smiled. "May I get my payment."

The huge guy, who had a scar, and a long sword on his back, stared down. He sneered. "Why are you in hurry. Are you afraid?"

"I tell you, that guy isn't normal."

"Shut up!" The leader lifted his foot and kicked River Rat, sending him flying to crush a house. "That bastard killed a brother of mine who works in the mines. Some of us are here for revenge, not to mention he stole the money of the people. And you are afraid."

River Rat just stood up and started running in the opposite direction. "I warned ya! Don't tell him that I was the one to invite you."

"Don't worry about that, he already knows." Said a voice.

The party looked in front of them, to see a smiling man lifting a large rock with one hand.

He was matching the appearance of the Ripper, and he wasn't inside of his motel.

Raoh was already standing up in the streets. On his left and right, there were buildings. In front, his foes, and behind him a long area.

River Rat turned his head, smiled, and ran forward. He was sure that Raoh won't get him, not without passing through 30 men.

Raoh tilted his body and threw the rock. It flew high in the sky, so fast for Raoh's size. The rock fell on River Rat's head and he fell.

"I've learnt a bit of Earth-bending." Raoh cracked his wrists. He was mocking them.

The party of the hunters looked at him.

"You're really famed for your strength." Said the one in the lead, who was already two heads taller than Raoh. "But don't get too cocky."

Raoh was opening his arms widely. "Come to me then."

The leader yelled as he dashed, opening his arms widely, and he jumped. "I'll rip your skull out of your body." He said with some grudge and hate.

Raoh squatted and slammed his palm forward. He was faster, stronger, and had an experience of his previous self.

The large man found himself flying backwards, toward his group, and what they did do? They jumped to the side, to dodge their boss.

That is what Raoh thought at first.

But he appeared to be wrong.

It seemed that they made way for the beasts, as large as homes. They had buzzard shaped, some had the body of a bird with a head of a lizard, and some looked like dogs with extra features such as feathers. The Avatar world was a spiritual world, yet bizarre at the same time.

"June…" Raoh sang in her name. If there is a good time to appear, it would be now. 'Damn, only If I had a good katana with me… or a couple of daggers.'

Raoh subconsciously jumped to the side as a few arrows pierced through his original place.

The large animals started dashing.

From the side, a house was crushed, and Nyla appeared. June was above it, holding a whip. Nyla started whipping with her tongue, and June whipped the riders with her weapon. The animals were getting a little numb, and the owners seemed to know June's strategy, so they started surrounding her and threatening Nyla's tongue with their weapons.

"Raoh! Take this."

From the middle of the beasts, June's voice came. When Raoh lifted his head, he saw a long blade flying and flipping. Raoh was impressed to see it crossing more than a hundred and fifty meters. It seems that June has some serious strength in her slender alluring body.

Without having to look, Raoh lifted his hand and took a step forward. The sword fell on his hand, and he held it from the grip, flipping it a few times before unsheathing it.

The sword was double-edged and sharp with a tip.

The sword belongs to a type known as Jian. Good for slicing and piercing.

"Well, I practised the Kung Fu. I only used Daggers, and my sword style was quite similar to Kung Fu martial arts."

In his previous life, Raoh had developed his own swordsmanship, and besides Kung Fu styles, he had his own styles.

Seeing that he was ignoring them, some of the archers opened arrows at him.

Raoh swept his sword, and the arrows fell, cut in half.

Pointing the tip to the side, he started walking forward. His courage shocked his foes that it made them hesitate for a second. When you are the predator, you are used to the prey running away, not coming in your way.

Even the biggest dogs will get shocked when the cats don't act cowardly and attack. (Don't work all the time)

But these are humans and not animals. They held their weapons and dashed.

Raoh sheathed the sword, squatted, and stared at them, looking for a passage.

Once he found it, he used Shave and unsheathed the sword.

The group stopped once they didn't find their foe in front of them. He just vanished into thin air.

The next second, someone's body started sliding over their lower half.

Their heads started turning. In their midst, Raoh appeared, looking at the ground.

"I now remember… and I hate remembering my previous life. It hurts the single heart."

Raoh said.

Before the guys could react, he started waving the blade.

There is no doubt of it. People are really soft here compared to his previous life's archenemies.

The mercenaries didn't know what happened, but they learnt why Raoh was called the Ripper.

Covered in blood, Raoh stared at the six men that fell. There were still three in front of him, and they were shaken, taken by the shock and the fear of death. Raoh was about to dash at them, but the ground started moving under him. The earth raised, and he found himself being thrown in the air. Raoh tried to balance himself, but alas, he couldn't use Moonwalk to fly.

He flipped, adjusted his position, and looked where he was flying.

One of the riders, who was fighting June, turned. He hit his animal with his leg and guided it to Raoh's body.

Raoh saw a large dog opening its mouth, and it seemed to be able to finish him off in one bit.

"X Drake was larger." Raoh threw the sheath and held the grip with two hands while heading to the largemouth. When he was just one meter away from entering, he stabbed high.

The sword entered the nose of the animal, and Raoh used it as standing. He pushed himself up and flipped in the air, landing in front of the rider.

Without showing mercy, he slashed vertically, and the man's head fell. Raoh continued running above the dog, and he stabbed it above its neck. The dog let the last growl and fell dead. Raoh jumped off it and turned his head. It seems there are Earthbenders here. Three.

Using Shave, he headed toward them. Raoh found that he has to stop in the middle of his movement as some spikes appeared in front of the ground.

The Earthbenders were taking the same position. They changed their stance for instance, and they stretched their arms. A large rock was lifted from the earth, and it flew toward him. Raoh slashed downward, and the rock was cut in half.

"You're quite tricky, aren't you."

"We can't let our guard down facing you." One of them said. The three changed their stance and raised their arms. "You're going to die, Non-bender."

Raoh took a step forward as a wall appeared behind him. He leaned his back on it, and he said. "Let's see about it."
