Chapter 16

Raoh was sitting on the top of a lizard-like animal, moving in the night with the other members. In front of him was Tsu, guiding the horse-like animal.

"So, you really know where the Avatar is… He is an Airbender, and those guys are dead a long time ago."

"The reincarnation cycle doesn't stop. So, that means there is one Nomad."

"And how did he still alive for a hundred years without showing up."

"Hah~" Raoh sight. "He was in danger, froze himself, and now, he is in a desperate need of awakening."

"But where."

"I think that I said too much."

"Don't you trust your friends?"

"I don't trust even my family on important secrets," Raoh said.

"You are really cold." Tsu pretended to be sad, but Raoh didn't seem to care. "At least say it carefully."

"Yeah, right." Raoh rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.

Soon, they got into a mountain range. The Earthbenders started moving their hands, and a passage appeared in the mountain.

"Great way to hide,"  Raoh said. Soon, he found himself heading to a large camp with a huge building in the middle.

"We didn't have much trouble building this city, with all the Earth benders we have, it's easy," Tsu said. "And we never worry about fuels, as we have some fire benders on our side."

Raoh just nodded. "So, who am I going to see."

"A higher up."

"Who?"

"Let's head to Prince Zuko. Just a little warning, he is quite edgy, and he is very honourable." Tsu said.

'Sounds like him.' Raoh nodded as he remembered the character of Zuko. Loves honour, and loves his daddy, but had lost them all because his mother one day decided to test if the Fire Lord was interrupting her letters to her family and ex-boyfriend.

His mother wrote to her ex that Zuko is his son, and the Fire Lord got his hand on that letter. He then started treating Zuko as if he is a scum, a lucky person to be born. The Fire Lord almost killed Zuko, if not for his mother killing the king. But it appeared later that Zuko was his son… and his mother was doing just a shit test. (A/N: The most horrible mother ever.)

"Please, wait here." Tsu landed on the animal and walked inside.

Raoh jumped off, and he looked around at the people that he had been with. They stopped too, smiled at him, and one girl of them said.

"Do you want something while waiting?" She asked.

"Few snacks will be appreciated." Raoh smiled.

She just nodded. A few minutes later, she came back with some cookies, and Raoh just thanked her, before walking to a near wall and leaning on it, eating. Food was always appreciated by him. He had fought a tough battle later. His body surely will save the experience and develop, so Raoh was in need to eat.

"Raoh! Come over." Tsu came and invited Raoh to come to a tent.

Just as Raoh stood up, he saw that someone couldn't be patient.

A man got out of the tent. He seemed to be in hurry. He was lean, tall, and had long black hair and golden eyes. His body seemed to be quite muscular. The most noticeable feature about him was his left eye. It was covered in a burning scar, and anyone who sees it will think that this man is lucky to still have his eye functioning.

He looked left and right before his golden eyes settle on Raoh. He walked to him and stood in front of him.

"Are you the Ripper?" The man said.

Raoh stood up. "Hey."

"Prince Zuko, it's the guy that I have told you about."

Zuko didn't seem to be patient. He quickly said. "Do you know where the avatar is?"

"Come on. Don't you honour your guests with a little bit of respect, maybe some tea…"

A laugh echoed from the inside of the tent upon mentioning the tea.

Zuko calmed down once he heard about honour. "Pardon me for my behaviour. I was in hurry after hearing that you know where the Avatar is. My name is Zuko, the prince of the Fire Nation." He joined his palms together and gave a little bow.

"Heard about you." Raoh nodded. "My name is Raoh. Came here to help."

Zuko looked left and right. "So, you have freed a group from our own, while being in the mines."

Tsu, who was standing on the sides, smiled and gave a nod. "Yes, Prince. He helped us."

Zuko's eyes moved to Tsu, before looking at Raoh. "You know, I can't help but think it's a trap. Maybe you are a spy from my father. Tsu, don't trust anyone who freed you. You may be a bite."

Tsu scratched his chin. "Well, your uncle's wisdom got to your heart…"

Raoh let a sigh. "You think that I freed your group, just to trick you?"

"You said you know where the avatar is…"

"Prince," Tsu said. "I don't think he is a spy. He worked hard, for just a little of the meal, and he fought his life, killing a few guards of the Fire Nation."

"Father is a deceptive man. He can order his men to be killed, just to achieve his goal." Said Zuko.

Raoh lifted his hands and started clapping. "Bravo… Bravo. Your conspiracy theory has amazed me. But you missed one little detail… I have a fucking bounty on my head. And if I was a spy, don't you think that some people would be following me. Also, I wasn't the one to find you guys, you were the ones to find me. And If I was ever given choice, I would never spend my time working in the mines for fucking bread every day. I have no obligation to stay here if you don't believe me. Well, if you ever changed your mind, look for me. I'll be opening a mercenary office."

Raoh turned as he was about to leave. Zuko placed his hand on Raoh's shoulder. But his action was stopped once Raoh held his hand.

"Fine, I'll give you my trust, for now. You can't blame me, a man can't be too careful." Zuko said. "I bet you are tired, you can rest…"

"That's appreciated," Raoh said.

He can't believe that he is going through all these troubles, just to make another man makes the perfect world for him.

"Now, tell us where the Avatar is."

"That's top-secret. Rather be alone with someone before saying it." Raoh said.

"Zuko." Came a sound from inside the tent. "Invite our guest over. I have made some Jasmine tea."

"Uncle!" Zuko yelled. "We are trying to resort to the dignity of our nation —"

"Patience, Prince Zuko." Said that voice.

"I'll be glad for some tea…" Raoh said to the man in the tent as he walked past Zuko and entered.
