I awoke in a white void with a slim man dressed in black standing in the middle, black shoes, black suit, black shirt, black tie and both distant and familiar sunken in face. Something about him made me feel at ease, yet at the same time, that same something made me feel unimaginable terror. He was calm and composed, with a gentle understanding smile on his face, the smile of a loving father nurturing his child to blossom like an orchid. Only that same expression made it seem like he was also watching that same orchid die and wither away, one petal at a time.
“Are you happy?” he asked me in a soft-spoken manner.
“No”, I respond.
“Then, perhaps, are you sad?” he asked again with the same soft-spoken voice.
