"Every time I have seen you with Caroline." Hayley put the cigarette out on the ground, "I have seen a shine, something..."

Klaus listened. She didn't know if he was listening. He felt distant.

"I can't actually explain what it is." She continued. "But, Caroline…...She looked genuinely happy."

Klaus looked at her.

"But I think I saw it die….." Hayley told him. "The shine in her eyes, I think it broke….I think you killed it, Klaus."

Klaus stared at her.

"She doesn't deserve this!"

"She is pregnant, Hayley!" Klaus almost shouted,

He was almost angry that Hayley couldn't understand his feelings.

Davina Claire forced fed Caroline, and put a sleeping spell on her. She needed her rest.

She rummaged through Caroline's phone. She called someone called 'Elena Gilbert' but there was no answer.

Elena was still in the magical slumber.

After much consideration, she stopped on Stefan Salvatore, Caroline talked about him most often.

"Hello!?"

"Who is this?" A sharp voice came from the other side of the phone. "This is Caroline Forbes's phone."

"Hi…." Davina said softly, "This is Davina Claire, I am a friend of Caroline's…...I think she needs you, Stefan Salvatore. Caroline is pregnant, and Klaus walked out on her."

"Okay...Okay!" Stefan told her, "I am coming over…..now!"

She turned the phone off. She had called Bonnie Bennett and Damon Salvatore too. Only Bonnie responded, but the connection was very bad.

She was just happy that she at least got one of Caroline's friends.

She went inside. Caroline was sleeping.

Stefan Salvatore was taking the first plane to New Orleans.

He was coming for Caroline.

"I don't know what to do about it!" Klaus yelled, as he threw the cigarette in the water.

"First of all...." Hayley stood up, "She is not an it!"

Klaus shook his head.

"She is your baby….Your daughter." She said softly, "A little Caroline…"

Klaus listened.

"You have always talked about how horrible your father was." Hayley continued. "And how he is the reason you turned out the way you are!"

Klaus spat at the mention of his father.

"I hate him."

"This is your chance!" She told Klaus, "Your chance to do right...Do right by your daughter! Show how you are better than Mikael."

Klaus's face eased.

"You know how broken, Caroline is right now!" She almost shouted at him. "Don't break her even more by leaving her…..or something crazy!"

"I am not leaving her!"

"You certainly ran out on her!"

Klaus sat down again.

"It's just I never saw this coming!"

"Neither did she!" Hayley almost snapped at him.

Stefan Slavatore entered the Mikaelson Compound looking at his phone from the directions he had received from Davina.

"Hello?"

He came inside. Elijah appeared at the top of the stairs.

"Stefan Salvatore?"

"Yes..,"

"Carolina is upstairs." He told him, as he disappeared back inside.

Stefan took the stairs, and came upstairs, he saw Davina sitting on the sofa.

"Stefan Salvatore?" She asked him.

"Yes, where is Caroline?" He asked impatiently.

"Inside…" Davina opened a door from her magic, "She is a little fragile."

"Oh….I can understand!" Stefan snorted.

He knocked on the door, Caroline was sitting in the bed, her eyes closed. Her head tilted.

He came inside, and sat on the bed.

"I want anything, Davina…" She said softly, she didn't open her eyes.

"It's me….Stefan." He held her hand.

"Stefan?" She looked at him.

She hugged him.

"Oh My God!!" She whispered, "You are here!"

She was crying, her tears fell on his shoulder, "Thank you…"

He fondled her hair.

"I never trusted him."

Caroline didn't say anything.

"I wished you hadn't gone with him ,Caroline."

She flinched.

"I love him, Stefan…"

"Still?"

"Always." She whispered.

Hayley and Klaus spent several hours, sitting side by side, talking.

It took a lot to actually explain to Klaus how this would be good. He finally understood.

"Why didn't Caroline come after me?"

"She tried to!" Hayley told him, "But she got dizzy, I don't think she's very well!"

Klaus stood up, and started to walk.

"Where are we going?" She asked.

"To the Compound, To Caroline…." He told Hayley, "To Charlotte."

"Charlotte?" Hayley raised her eyebrows in confusion.

"My daughter." Klaus waved his hand, "Try to keep up, little wolf!"

"Almost twelve hours ago you couldn't accept her existence….and now she has a name." Hayley snorted, "You really think Caroline will let you name her."

"She sure will!" Klaus said simply, and walked ahead. "If I get back in time…"

They were in the Mikaelson Compound, as he opened the gates,

"I think someone is here!" Klaus exclaimed.

"Yeah….i asked Davina to call Caroline's friends and Family from Mystic Falls."

"Caroline has no family…"

"She has you Klaus!" Hayley reminded him, "Father of her kid, fiance…."

Klaus nodded. He forgot that. They walked upstairs.

"Caroline?" Klaus called her.

"Look who it is!" Davina snickered, as she saw Klaus. "Runaway Daddy!"

Hayley stifled a laugh.

"Caroline?" He ignored her, "Where is she?"

"She is inside!" Davina pointed to a room, "Her friends from her town came over,"

Klaus opened the door. Caroline Forbes was sitting on the bed, surrounded by Stefan Salvatore, Bonnie Bennett and Enzo St. John.

"Klaus….." She looked at him. Her eyes pierced into his. He looked away. He was too embarrassed at what he had done.

He couldn't figure her emotions from her face, she looked so blank.

She stood up, and she went towards the door, she didn't even glance at him. She went past him. Down the stairs, two steps at a time.

"Caroline!" He shouted.

Stefan, Bonnie and Enzo followed her.

"She's going back home!" Bonnie told him. "She should have listened to me, she shouldn't have come here in the first place."

Caroline was going towards Stefan's car which was parked at the end of the street.

"Caroline..!!" He used his vampire speed to come down quicker.

Davina and Hayley were too shocked to say anything.

"CAROLINE!" He yelled, pulling her by her hand.

"What?" She shouted back.

"Don't go…"

"What did you do, when I said that last night!?" She demanded.

"I was surprised….shocked!"

"So was I, Klaus…..So was I!" She gritted every word through her teeth.

"You think children were in my plan?!"

Caroline pulled her hand from his grip, She walked ahead.

"Caroline…." He didn't shout, he didn't scream. His voice was soft, but a chill ran down Caroline's spine. It forced her to turn around. She couldn't do anything.

"Anyone who gave me a second chance." Klaus's eyes had tears, Caroline was shocked. "They were wrong to give me a chance at all."

He took a step forward.

"You would be the only person who would be wrong not to give me another chance."

Caroline looked at him to Hayley, who nodded her head. To Stefan, who shook his head.

"I love you, Caroline…" Klaus told her, "And I pledge my loyalty to the littlest wolf."

Caroline smiled through tears.

"Don't take Charlotte away from me." He said.

"Charlotte?" Caroline looked confused. "Who is Charlotte?"

"The baby…" Klaus had one sided smile. "My baby…...My daughter!"

"I won't…" She whispered,

Caroline melted, last night, she felt that he hated her and the baby, now he had a name for her too. He was telling the truth. She could feel it, he was ashamed.

He kissed her.

"I love you too, Klaus." She pulled away.
