The Salvatore School. For The Young And The Gifted.

Caroline hailed a cab, she had to drag Kol to sit in, he was going off trying to drink from people in a bustling airport.

"Can you be less obvious!" She growled.

"I don't know why Nik likes so much!" he grumbled, "You are so bossy and uptight, and controlling and not fun…"

"Okay...Get in the car!" Caroline was exasperated.

After thirty minutes of driving, Caroline got out. She paid the driver, and showed Kol to her house.

"This is my house." She told him, "Blood bags in the fridge."

"Where are you going?" He asked, she was heading for the door again.

"I am going to see what happened to Stefan Salvatore."

She told him.

"I am coming with you." He held a blood bag.

"Let's go…"

"Oh, for God's sake!" Caroline snatched the blood bag from his hand, took out a thermos from a cupboard, and poured it out in the thermos.

She shoved it in his hand.

"Now, let's go!"

Kol shook his head impatiently.

Caroline led the way. They passed many people on the way,

"This is Caroline….She's with a new guy like every week!" A woman whispered.

Both Caroline and Kol heard it. Caroline chose to ignore it. Kol came up to her, and pinned her to the wall.

"Kol, just leave her!" Caroline pushed him away from her.

"Apologize!" Kol growled, "Apologize to her, now!"

"Kol…"

"APOLOGIZE, NOW!" He shouted.

"Stop it…"

"I apologize.." The woman said.

Caroline compelled her.

"What the hell is the matter with you?" She jabbed an elbow in Kol's chest. "I have an infant kid here!"

She pointed towards Charlotte.

"Jeez, Caroline!" Kol shook her head, "What do you want? Your baby was born in a wolf bayou, forced out of you by witches, she is part wolf, part vampire." He told her, "Her father is a sociopath."

Caroline looked at him.

"How long do you think you can hide this from her?" He demanded, "I'd suggest you teach her how to protect herself as soon as she is capable of learning!"

Caroline was in deep thought, he was right…...Klaus had made enemies left and right…..for more than a thousand years. She couldn't always protect Charlotte. She had to learn.

"You are right…" She whispered. "But, she's so little."

"I know, you and Klaus can do it right now…But, soon you'll have to let her go, Caroline." He told her, "She won't be with the two of you forever!"

Caroline nodded, she couldn't believe she was getting advice, good advice, actual genuine advice from Kol Mikaelson.

She smiled.

"Now, let's go...You have to see to your dead friend…"

She sighed, he was back to his insensitive self again.

Caroline opened the door of the house.

"Damon!" She shouted.

There was broken glass, humans drained of blood, and a strong smell of bourbon in the house.

"And I couldn't have a drink from the stewardess?" Kol smirked, "Double standards, Caroline!"

"His brother is dead, show some compassion!" She told him. "Hold her."

She handed Charlotte to him,

"Don't put her down." She told him,

"Damon? Where are you?" She entered the living room.

Damon Salvatore was lying on the ground., drinking. He slurred.

"Car….Caroli….Care." His words were slurring.

"Damon….." She shook her head, went to the kitchen, and came back with a pot of coffee.

"Drink this!" She told him.

He took his with shivering hands. She pulled him up, and pushed him towards the sofa.

"What happened?" She asked him.

"He killed himself." He whispered. His eyes were filled with tears, she was shocked.

"What?" She asked.

"Bonnie found out, Stefan's life was connected to Rayna Cruz," He whispered, "He killed her, and took down him and all her marked people with him."

She hadn't ever seen Damon Salvatore sob like a child. He held her arm,

"He's dead, Caroline…" He repeated. "Dead….Caroline."

Caroline was devastated.

"He's a hero, Damon." She patted his hand, trying to hold back her tears, "He's at peace."

Caroline Forbes-Mikaelson had made up her mind. She was going to do something.

Caroline Forbes asked Damon to move into her house.

She was using the Salvatore House to open a school. After four months, a big board was placed up on the house,

"THE SALVATORE SCHOOL FOR THE YOUNG AND THE GIFTED."

In small writing underneath was written.

"In the memory of Stefan Salvatore, A Great Man, A Hero To Us All."

Many ads for funding the school were displayed on the internet.

Caroline had a busier life now, she was always traveling back and forth to Mystic Falls, and New Orleans.

She went back to New Orleans, Klaus Mikaelson and Elijah were trying to find their mother.

"Hello!" She entered the compound.

She encountered Elijah, he was standing in the living room, his hands and clothes bloodied up.. His clothes were torn up.

"Elijah?" She looked at him, shocked. "What happened? What the…." She stopped.

She looked at Charlotte who had come running inside. She turned towards her daughter.

"Sweetie, go find Uncle Kol…" She told her. Charlotte nodded, "That's a good girl."

Charlotte ran inside.

"What happened, Elijah?" She repeated.

Elijah was pouring a drink. He gave her a glass,

"Elijah, it is ten o'clock in the morning," She told her,

"No, I am not drinking…." She put the glass back on the table. "I have a two year old in the house…."

"What are you doing, Caroline?" He asked, "I thought you had a duty here, you had taken up to protect the town….to help us."

He told Caroline.

"I know…" She told him. "I still remember, that's what I am doing!"

"Then, what are you doing in Mystic Falls?" He asked.

"Excuse me?" She raised her eyebrows and her voice.

"What is your goal in Mystic Falls, is it important?" Elijah wasn't affected by the change in Caroline's tone. "More important than what you were doing here, Is it more important than your daughter having a family?"

"Everything I did here, and I am trying to do here. It's for Charlotte." She took a step forward. "Everything I am doing in Mystic Falls is for Charlotte."

She looked in the eye.

"I will not stop till I get both things!"

"What is the purpose of a school?" Elijah snorted.

"So, that Mystic Falls doesn't turn into New Orleans!" Caroline said sharply, "I don't just want peace in New Orleans, I want it everywhere!"
