Memories

Dorian spent the remainder of the day honing his magic skills. Sara permitted him to use the guest room, so he no longer had to sleep in the barn. Dorian cursed the first Dorian because he refused to sleep in Sara's house and stayed in the barn.

"What's the fuck was wrong with that guy?" He muttered in annoyance as he finished up his training for the day and went straight to bed. Sara came into the room the next day, her long brown hair flowing behind her like a river.

"Good morning, Dorian."

As Dorian began to dress up, he heard some footsteps coming toward him. Dorian turned around and saw Sara walking toward him. Dorian raised an eyebrow and stared at her expectantly.

"What's wrong, my lady?" Sara shrugged lightly and grabbed Dorian's hands gently, pulling them away from his torso.

"You were just so tense I thought you might hurt yourself. Now, come on, let's go get something to eat."

Sara grabbed hold of Dorian's hand again, dragging him down the hallway into the main hall. They found a large table where two plates of food sat. Even though Dorian's body did not require food anymore, he was not about to refuse a delicious meal. Especially one Sara provided. She handed Dorian his plate and smiled before sitting opposite him. Dorian took a bite and sighed in contentment. Sara chuckled and looked down at her plate before taking a bite herself. As they ate, Dorian noticed that there weren't many people around the mansion.

"I gave the servants within the mansion a day off." After they ate, Sara stood up. She offered Dorian her arm and helped him stand up as well. She then led him through another door into a small greenhouse. Inside, flowers surrounded their feet, giving off an enchanting aroma. A tall man wearing a grey robe appeared in front of them. It was the same priest that healed Dorian's wounds.

"Ah, Lady Sara! To what do we owe this pleasure?" The priest asked with a smile. The priest gazed at Dorian, offering him a gentle smile. "I see! I am not sure if you remember me, even though I healed you twice, but my name is Caleb Morgan!"

Dorian blinked a couple of times, slowly trying to think about it. Then he nodded his head slightly. "Oh yeah, I remember you now." Dorian turned to Sara, asking her with his eyes, 'Is he okay?'

She nodded and placed her hands on either side of Caleb. "I'm afraid that his memories are still unstable."

Caleb shook his head and frowned softly. "I thought so."

Caleb decided to inspect Dorian's health, so he walked over to Dorian, placing his hands on Dorian's temples. The sensation sent goose bumps up Dorian's spine, and he shivered slightly. As Caleb started muttering a quiet prayer, Dorian lost all awareness of the situation around him. All that existed in his mind was Sara, Caleb, and the warmth with a gentle light coming off Caleb's hands. Dorian felt himself floating up until he couldn't feel anything. Then Caleb removed his hands and placed them on Dorian's chest instead. Dorian's vision cleared, and he found himself staring directly at Caleb. The man seemed startled by Dorian's sudden consciousness as his green eyes widened slightly. Caleb cleared his throat and said something that shook Sara.

"You're Dorian... But not our Dorian."

A look of recognition crossed Dorian's face, and he quickly turned back to Caleb, shaking his head.

"What do you mean?"

"Your memories are a little jumbled..." Caleb rubbed the back of his neck. "Let's try this again, alright? What year is it right now?"

"...1891," said Dorian quietly.

"Do you know how old you are currently?"

"18 years old?" Dorian replied. But... My birthday isn't until October 1st, 1894."

"Yes." Caleb smiled gently at Dorian and nodded once.

"Okay, then tell us your full name."

Dorian bit his lip for a moment. "...My name is Dorian Noah."

Caleb's smile slightly faded as he spoke again. "Dorian Noah." There was silence for a few moments."That's your name... Dorian Noah."

The priest then muttered spells under his breath, put his hands on both sides of Dorian's head, and closed his eyes. Dorian started to have an extreme headache and screamed in agony. The memories of parallel Dorian started to flood Dorian's mind.

"What are you doing?" Sara shouted. "You're hurting him! "

"Trying to help your little boyfriend," said Caleb. "Two souls were fused into one. However, if I activate his brain capacity to the fullest, he will get back even the lost memories."

Dorian opened his eyes slowly and glared at the priest. "Stop it, please... Just stop it... I don't want to remember anymore!"

Caleb took his hands off Dorian's temples and placed them against his head. "Don't fight it, Dorian. This is for your own good. "

Suddenly Luna appeared and wanted to grab Caleb by his throat, but she stopped because Sara grabbed her wrist gently.

"Luna!" Dorian cried out. "It's okay, Dorian," Luna reassured him with a small smile and patted his shoulder. She gazed at the priest with sorrowful eyes and said. "If anything goes wrong, I will kill you and wipe out the entire human race."

Luna was furious, and her eyes had a sinister aura. Caleb didn't know who she was, but he could tell she was dangerous. With a final glare, Luna teleported out of the room. Once she disappeared, Sara released his hand, and he fell forward onto the ground. Sara kneeled beside him and checked him for any wounds before helping him into a sitting position. Caleb knelt next to Sara and looked concerned at Dorian.

"Dorian's memories didn't return for some reason. I am sorry, lady Sara."

Before Sara could respond, Dorian jumped up from the floor and ran back into the guest bedroom. Sara watched as Dorian slammed the door shut and locked it. She sighed sadly and glanced back up at Caleb.

"Did something happen between them?" "It seems Dorian blocked some of his memories. It seems serious."

With Dorian gone, Sara turned to Caleb. "So, are you going to help him?" "Help Dorian?" said Caleb confused. "No! Dorian blocked those memories for a reason. If I try to bring them back, Dorian's sanity will be in danger."
